When using the SoftwareUpdateEnforcementSpecific to target an update to iPad OS 18.7.1, will the update be triggered to be downloaded immediately after the iPad has an active Internet connectivity? Or, if the SoftwareUpdateSettingsAutomaticActionsObject download string is set to AlwaysOff, will this mean that the update enforced will not start downloading automatically, but only when the user decides?
I am trying to understand how these two can be combined together or if they work independently, as while trying to enforce a specific version, we need to eliminate the possibility to download an iPad OS version using cellular data, as our devices have an eSIM installed and the cost of using that for the iOS updates will be quite high.
Maybe there is a setting to only allow the iOS updates to be downloaded via Wi-Fi.
Thanks!

Device: iPhone 12 Pro Max
System: iOS 26.1 beta 2
Issue Description:
When testing MDM device restriction capabilities on iOS 26.1 beta 2, I found that the allowCamera restriction does not work as expected.
Observed Behavior:
• On a BYOD device:
When allowCamera is set to false, the Camera and FaceTime apps disappear from the Home Screen, as expected.
However, third-party apps (such as WeChat) can still access the camera and take photos.
• On earlier versions (e.g. iOS 26.0.1):
Setting allowCamera to false correctly blocks all apps, including third-party apps, from accessing the camera.
Initially, I assumed Apple might have changed this restriction behavior so that allowCamera only applies to supervised devices.
However, after testing on supervised devices, I found that even there, when allowCamera is set to false, the Camera and FaceTime apps are hidden, but third-party apps can still use the camera.
This indicates that the restriction is not functioning correctly in iOS 26.1 beta 2.
Expectation:
When allowCamera is set to false, all camera access — including third-party apps — should be blocked.
Request:
Could someone from Apple’s development or MDM team confirm whether this is an expected behavior change or a potential bug in iOS 26.1 beta 2?

Issue Description:
We are experiencing MDM profile installation failures specifically on iPhone 17
devices. After extensive testing and comparison between affected and working
devices, we suspect this appears to be a parameter transmission error rather
than device settings.
Technical Analysis:
Device Settings Comparison: No differences found between problematic and
working devices in system settings, indicating this is not a configuration
issue.
Suspected Parameter Transmission Error:
• Device model information appears to be restricted or blocked during profile
download
• User ID and phone number parameters are not being transmitted to the server
• Installation logs show missing login ID and phone number entries
Symptoms:
• During MDM profile installation, the "Apps & Restrictions" section that should
appear is missing
• Profile download parameters are suspected to not be properly transmitted to
the server
• Installation process fails at the profile configuration stage
Critical Finding:
When we cloned a previously working device to create a problematic device
configuration, the cloned device also began experiencing the same installation
failures. This strongly suggests the issue is related to device-specific
parameters or identifiers.
Additional Information:
We continue to receive reports of this issue from our iPhone 17 users, and these
reports are occurring across various iOS versions.
Request for Assistance:
Has anyone encountered similar MDM profile installation issues on iPhone 17? Are
there known limitations or changes in how device parameters are transmitted
during MDM enrollment on this model?
Any guidance on debugging parameter transmission or known workarounds would be
greatly appreciated.

This is in reference to the feedback ticket
: https://feedbackassistant.apple.com/draft/57929340, we would like to know if there are any test enterprise websites that Apple can suggest to test passkeys declaration.
We have couple of devices that are registered into Platform SSO, and we have been noticing an issue when the user tried to login.
After the users enters the password and hit the return key nothing happens, they need to hit the return key probably 10-15 times in order for the login to happen, the password entered is the correct one and it's just that hitting the return key doesn't invoke the login.
On checking the log of the device one unusual thing that we noticed as compared to a different device where the login is working in a single go is that the AppSSOAgent or AppSSODaemon process were not getting invoked
Hello,
I'm currently working on implementing app installation features, referencing the app.managed.yaml declaration on GitHub: https://github.com/apple/device-management/blob/0a4527c5ea21825fd23e08273ccdb9e2302458ce/declarative/declarations/configurations/app.managed.yaml
My question pertains to the InstallBehavior.Version key. The current specification indicates its type as <integer>:
key: Version
title: Version
supportedOS:
iOS:
introduced: '26.0'
macOS:
introduced: '26.0'
visionOS:
introduced: '26.0'
type: <integer>
Is there a way to specify the app version using a string format, such as x.y.z, instead of the integer (App Store External Version Identifier - EVID)?
Allowing for a simpler version specification would make app version management through MDM more flexible and efficient. I believe this would significantly streamline the deployment and operation of Apple devices within organizations.
Any guidance or consideration for this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
We’re looking for best practices to remotely update iOS apps that are deployed in Single App Mode (SAM) or Autonomous Single App Mode (ASAM), managed through MDM.
Imagine a typical use case: an iPad installed as a self-service kiosk at an airport restaurant. We need to update the app periodically without:
Displaying any prompts to the user
Relying on the user to approve or initiate the update (since the device is unattended)
Sending technicians onsite, as many devices are in remote locations
MDM providers have stated, “This is how Apple handles it,” without offering a workable solution. We’re hoping someone here has experience or suggestions for:
Seamless or silent app updates in SAM/ASAM
Update workflows that avoid interruptions or user interaction
Any proven strategies or automation options under MDM supervision
Any insight or documented approaches would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Before iOS26.1, allowCamera set false, all app can't use camera.
On iOS26.1, allowCamera set false, removes camera icon from the Home Screen, but third app can still use camera, such as Safari and other apps that can call camera.
Is it a bug or a new features?

Hi Team,
After agreeing the Paid In-app purchase agreements, i have been asked to fill the tax forms of US Certificate of foreign status of beneficial owner and US substitute form W-8BEN-E.
Being an Indian Ed-tech company, we would like to know how should we approach this. Any help or support page or video on this can make our life easier.
Thanks

I came across this tool that enables supervised mode on iOS without resetting the data. it's essentially a macOS with a unix executable file underneath. a quick guide of how it works is here
https://www.techlockdown.com/guides/enable-supervised-mode-iphone
I would appreciate any guidance on how to recreate this, as this is behind a paywall, and would like to offer something similar for free to people who want to restrict their families devices.

I am trying to find clarification on something. We are seeing strange cases where customer devices seem to unenroll themselves after a period of MDM inactivity. This seems to tie into roughly when their identity certificate has expired. We can't confirm this because the device has since unenrolled.
Is there any case where an Apple device will automatically unenroll if it's identity certificate has expired?
This doesn't always seem to happen - I had a device respond immediately after being switched off for a year - but could this be down to some devices being DEP enrolled and others manually enrolled?

Hello,
I would like to ask a question regarding documentation related to app sales.
Currently, I’m researching the sales process for an app and realized that I lack sufficient understanding when it comes to creating official documents such as estimates, invoices, and receipts — especially when dealing with corporate clients.
In our company’s case, we can issue documents based on the net revenue (after platform fees are deducted). However, when issuing these documents to a client, would it be more appropriate to include a breakdown showing both the platform fee and the app usage fee?
I would greatly appreciate any insights or examples of how others have handled similar situations.
Thank you in advance.
Hi all,
I'm implementing Intune MAM to secure applications on iOS. However, I need my users to be able to save files (e.g. attachments in an email in the Outlook app) to iOS Files. To do so, I'm trying to put Files in exception of my Intune MAM policy and I need to obtain the Files "CFBundleURLSchemes" value from the info.plist file of the Files app. I'm not able to get that information.
Are any of you able to get that somehow?
Thanks!
I've account access level of developer. I want to create app specific password but go through the account but could not get any option to do so. Can somebody help me on this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,
I’m sharing this because I’ve been stuck with this issue for over two weeks, and I still haven’t found a solution — or received a meaningful response from Apple Support.
A yellow banner has appeared on my account saying:
“The Apple Developer Program License Agreement has been updated and needs to be reviewed.”
But here’s the problem:
I’ve already accepted the latest agreement long ago.
When I log into both:
App Store Connect
Developer Portal
…there’s no new agreement to accept, no prompt, no button — absolutely nothing new. The yellow banner simply refuses to go away, and it's preventing updates.
I’ve already:
Cleared cache & cookies
Tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox
Logged in from different devices/networks
Verified that I am the Account Holder
Reported the issue via Apple Developer Support (more than a week ago)
Despite clearly stating the urgency of the matter, I’ve received no fix and no timeline. This is beginning to feel like developers’ time — especially for those who depend on timely releases — isn’t being taken seriously.
So I’m writing here to ask:
🔹 Has anyone else encountered this same issue recently?
🔹 Is there any known workaround or fix?
I’d appreciate any help or shared experience.
Thank you.

Hello,
I am trying to authenticate to the Apple Business Manager API to retrieve device information and ingest it into ServiceNow. I am following the documentation here.
The first step is to create an API account and download the private key used to create a JWT client assertion.
The guide linked above gives a python script to create a client assertion. Below the first python script, the following description is given for the "kid" variable: "The value is your keyId that returns when you upload a public key." This is the first time that a public key, rather than a private key, is referenced. Where is the public key supposed to be uploaded?
Later in the guide, a public key is referenced again, in the section describing the client_id Request parameter: "(Required) You receive your clientId when you upload a public key."
I have tried to create a client assertion using the keyId that is associated with the API account. When I try to request an access token, however, I also get an "invalid_client" error back. I am wondering if I'm using the wrong values for both key_id and client_id due to not creating and uploading a public key.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
I tried the new feature of macOS 26.0 com.apple.configuration.app.managed.
A configuration and its activation are defined with the data like this.
InstallBehavior:
Install: Required
License:
Assignment: Device
iOSApp: true
AppStoreID: '1113153706'
After distributing the configuration with DeclarativeDevicement MDM command, an error is notified via status channel app.managed.list.
"managed": {
"list": [
{
"state": "failed",
"declaration-identifier": "1424a813-113f-5de0-9a75-38bf64f22673",
"identifier": "com.microsoft.skype.teams",
"name": "Microsoft Teams"
}
]
}
What am I missing in the settings?
Thank you
