From watching the video on App Attest the answer would appear to be no, but the video is a few years old so in hope, I thought I would post this question anyway.
There's several scenarios where I would like a notification service extension to be able to use App Attest in communications with the back end(for example to send a receipt to the backend acknowledging receipt of the push, fetching an image from a url in the push payload, a few others).
Any change App Attest can be used in by a notification service extension?

I have a macOS package (.pkg) that checks for installed Java versions on the machine during the preinstall phase using a preinstall script. If the required Java version is not found, the script displays a message using osascript as shown below.

So far, no issues have been observed with the installation of my package on all versions of macOS. However, on macOS 15.2, the installation is failing with a "Not authorized to send Apple events to Finder" error.
Could someone please help me understand what might be causing this issue and how to resolve it?

I have an Autofill Passkey Provider working for Safari and Chrome via WebAuthn protocol. Unfortunately, Chrome will not offer my extension as a logon credential provider unless I add the credential to the ASCredentialIdentityStore.
I wonder what is the best way to access the ASCredentialIdentityStore from an AutoFill extension? I understand I cannot access it directly from the extension context, so what is the best way to trigger my container app to run, based on a new WebAuthn registration? The best I can think of so far is for the www site to provide an App Link to launch my container app as part of the registration ceremony.
Safari will offer my extension even without adding it to the ASCredentialIdentityStore, so I guess I should file a request with Chrome to work this way too, given difficulty of syncing ASCredentialIdentityStore with WebAuthn registration.

If you call ATTrackingManager.trackingAuthorizationStatus in macOS, the result is always ATTrackingManager.AuthorizationStatus.notDetermined.
So, does macOS support getting ATT?
We are using SecPKCS12Import C API in our application to import a self seigned public key certificate. We tried to run the application for the first time on Tahoe and it failed with OSStatus -26275 error.
The release notes didn't mention any deprecation or change in the API as per https://developer.apple.com/documentation/macos-release-notes/macos-26-release-notes.
Are we missing anything? There are no other changes done to our application.

We have been experiencing a persistent notification issue in our application, Flowace, after updating to macOS 15 and above. The issue is affecting our customers but does not occur on our internal test machines.
Issue Description
When users share their screen using Flowace, they receive a repetitive system notification stating:
"Flowace has accessed your screen and system audio XX times in the past 30 days. You can manage this in settings."
This pop-up appears approximately every minute, even though screen sharing and audio access work correctly. This behavior was not present in macOS 15.1.1 or earlier versions and appears to be related to recent privacy enhancements in macOS.
Impact on Users
The frequent pop-ups disrupt workflows, making it difficult for users to focus while using screen-sharing features.
No issues are detected in Privacy & Security Settings, where Flowace has the necessary permissions.
The issue is not reproducible on our internal test machines, making troubleshooting difficult.
Our application is enterprise level and works all the time, so technically this pop only comes after a period of not using the app.

We would like to understand:
Has anyone else encountered a similar issue in macOS 15+?
Is there official Apple documentation explaining this new privacy behavior?
Are there any interim fixes to suppress or manage these notifications?
What are Apple's prospects regarding this feature in upcoming macOS updates?

Our security group wants us to invalidate biometrics and require a username/password if a biometric item is added (potentially by a hostile 3rd party)
Need to upgrade from userPresence to biometricCurrentSet to ensure re-authentication when biometric credentials change.
Issue:
After implementing biometricCurrentSet, authentication cancels after two failed biometric attempts instead of falling back to passcode.
Current Detection Method:
User completes initial biometric authentication
Biometric changes occur (undetectable by app)
App attempts Secure Enclave access
Access denial triggers re-authentication requirement
Cannot revoke refresh token after access is denied
Security Concern:
Current implementation allows new biometric enrollments to access existing authenticated sessions without re-verification.

Hi, is it legal to use open APIs to get the users's country country code using the Ip address in the app? I mean I want to know the user country for the game leaderboards data, and there are sites say this is free and open. So, I have two questions, first, is this making the user calling open api to get its country code concept legal? second question, what if these sites suddenly decided that it is not legal to use their apis for commercial use, and i miss that announcement; will you remove my app from the store? or what action will you take exactly?
I am currently working on Fraud System Detection that will be used by one of the financial institutions. Those tools are related to ensuring user security.
Our goal is to identify features that can trigger an early warning system for attempted fraud. We have identified three uncertain variables:
Whether the user is having a conversation while using our app,
Whether the user has specific screen sharing apps on their phone,
Whether the user has enabled VPN connection.
Here my doubts appear:
Can we check the presence of a telephone conversation if we are not a VOIP application?
Can we check the presence of installed programs using Universal Link and canOpenUrl(_:) method?
Can we read "SCOPED" key from CFNetworkCopySystemProxySettings() dictionary?

We have 2 developers:
Developer A created a Bundle ID and configured Sign in with Apple, but didn't create a corresponding App. This Bundle ID is only used for login on our official website.
Developer B created a Bundle ID, configured Sign in with Apple, and has a corresponding App.
The issue we're encountering is that because these two Bundle IDs are under different teams, when using the same Apple ID to log into these two applications, different accounts are generated. (We've tested that when creating Service IDs under the same team, logging in with Bundle IDs under the same team generates the same account.)
Since Developer A's Bundle ID doesn't have a created app, it cannot be transferred to Developer B. Therefore, we'd like to know if there's any way to make the accounts generated from logging in with the same Apple ID be identical across these two teams?

On my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.5, Safari + Passwords does not exhibit this behavior; instead an error is not reported and an ES256 credential is created when an RP passes a non-empty sequence that does not contain {"type":"public-key","alg":-7} (e.g., [{"type":"public-key","alg":-8}]).
When I use Chromium 138.0.7204.92 on my laptop running Arch Linux in conjunction with the Passwords app (connected via the "hybrid" protocol), a credential is not created and instead an error is reported per the spec.
Please correct the following issues and upload a new binary to App Store Connect.

I am experiencing an issue with Apple Sign-In on Vision Pro. When I build and run the app from Xcode, everything works fine—after signing in, the app returns to the foreground as expected.
However, when I launch the app directly on Vision Pro (not from Xcode), after completing the sign-in process, the app does not reopen from the background automatically. Instead, it closes, and I have to manually tap the app icon to reopen it.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a way to ensure the app properly resumes after sign-in without requiring manual intervention?

However, I’m receiving a 403 Forbidden response when I POST a CBOR-encoded payload to the following endpoint:

Here’s how I’m generating the CBOR payload in Java:

I’m unsure whether the endpoint is rejecting the payload format or if the endpoint itself is incorrect for this stage.
I’d appreciate clarification on the following:
1. Is https://data-development.appattest.apple.com the correct endpoint for key attestation in a development environment?
2. Should this endpoint accept CBOR-encoded payloads, or is it only for JSON-based assertion validation?
3. Is there a current official Apple documentation that lists:
• the correct URLs for key attestation and assertion validation (production and development),
• or any server-side example code (e.g., Java, Python) for handling attestation/validation on the backend?
So far, I couldn’t find an official document that explicitly describes the expected HTTP endpoints for these operations.
If there’s a newer guide or updated API reference, I’d appreciate a link.

We are using ASWebAuthenticationSession with apps on IoS to achieve SSO between apps. The IdP for authentication (OIDC) is an on-premise and trusted enterprise IdP based on one of the leading products in the market. Our problem is that the user is prompted for every login (and logouts) with a consent dialogue box:
“AppName” wants to use “internal domain-name” to Sign In
This allows the app and website to share information about you.
Cancel Continue”
I have read in various places that Apple has a concept of “Trusted domains” where you can put an “Apple certified” static web-page on the IdP. This page needs to contain specific metadata that iOS can verify. Once a user logs in successfully a few times, and if the IdP is verified as trusted, subsequent logins would not prompt the consent screen.
Question: I struggle to find Apple documentation on how to go about a process that ends with this “Apple certified web-page” on our IdP”. Anyone who has experience with this process, or who can point me in some direction to find related documentation?
We have an app that has failed during the app review for the Japanese market but has been accepted in several other markets successfully.
We need the user's name in native Katakana format as we need it to be displayed in our restaurant Point of Sale systems for workers to be able to read and understand.
We use 'Sign up with Apple', but when doing so, if this returns an anglicised given and family name, we have to request the customer supply their Katakana format name so that our in-store systems and staff can process and fulfil their orders.
When the App Review process automatically tests the app, it uses "Apple John" as a customer's name. Since this is not a Japanese name, we ask for it again in the correct format, or we cannot allow the user to register.
This contravenes Apple's rules, and thus, our app is rejected. If the Apple identity used belonged to a user more typical of the target market, it would work as required.
Does anyone else have this issue, and how did you work around it?
