ppq.apple.com returning 502 Bad Gateway - Unable to verify developer apps on device
Since this evening (March 10, 2026), I'm unable to launch any developer-signed app on my physical device (iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 26.4 beta 23E5223k). The error is: "Unable to launch [app] because it has an invalid code signature, inadequate entitlements or its profile has not been explicitly trusted by the user." On the device itself, it shows: "Unable to Verify App - An internet connection is required to verify the trust of the developer." What I've tried: Created a new Apple Development certificate Deleted and reinstalled the app Restarted the device Tested on both Wi-Fi and cellular Confirmed Developer Mode is enabled Removed all third-party CA certificates from the device Verified the code signature is valid (codesign -dv shows correct Authority chain) The root cause: https://ppq.apple.com is currently returning 502 Bad Gateway. I confirmed this both from my Mac (curl -s -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}" https://ppq.apple.com → 502) and from Safari on the device. This affects all developer-signed apps, not just a specific project. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there an ETA for the fix? Environment: Xcode 26.3 (17C519) macOS 26.3.1 (25D2128) iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 26.4 (23E5223k)

Xcode 16 warning about missing symbols of static framework
I work on an SDK, and one of the ways we distribute it is as a pre-compiled static XCFramework. As far as I know, it’s the nature of a static framework to not contain symbols since the framework will be embedded in the final app binary, and the symbols should then be generated. However, when testing the "Validate" function of the Xcode 16 deployment process, our users are receiving a warning that says the framework does not contain symbols. Is my assumption about static frameworks and symbols incorrect? Could this be a bug in Xcode 16? Should we modify something in our framework to inform Xcode that symbols are not needed?

SwiftData with shared and private containers
I was hoping for an update of SwiftData which adopted the use of shared and public CloudKit containers, in the same way it does for the private CloudKit container. So firstly, a big request to any Apple devs reading, for this to be a thing! Secondly, what would be a sensible way of adding a shared container in CloudKit to an existing app that is already using SwiftData? Would it be possible to use the new DataStore method to manage CloudKit syncing with a public or shared container?

Source view disappearing when interrupting a zoom navigation transition
When I use the .zoom transition in a navigation stack, I get a glitch when interrupting the animation by swiping back before it completes. When doing this, the source view disappears. I can still tap it to trigger the navigation again, but its not visible on screen. This seems to be a regression in iOS 26, as it works as expected when testing on iOS 18. Has someone else seen this issue and found a workaround? Is it possible to disable interrupting the transition? Filed a feedback on the issue FB19601591 Screen recording: https://share.icloud.com/photos/04cio3fEcbR6u64PAgxuS2CLQ Example code @State var showDetail = false @Namespace var namespace var body: some View { NavigationStack { ScrollView { showDetailButton } .navigationTitle("Title") .navigationBarTitleDisplayMode(.inline) .navigationDestination(isPresented: $showDetail) { Text("Detail") .navigationTransition(.zoom(sourceID: "zoom", in: namespace)) } } } var showDetailButton: some View { Button { showDetail = true } label: { Text("Show detail") .padding() .background(.green) .matchedTransitionSource(id: "zoom", in: namespace) } } }

Unusually long “Waiting for Review” times this week (App Store + TestFlight delays?)
Hi everyone, I’m currently experiencing unusually long review waiting times and wanted to ask if others see the same behavior this week. My situation: • App Store update has been in “Waiting for Review” significantly longer than usual • A newly submitted build also seems stuck • TestFlight processing is slower than I normally see • Expedited review request and contact attempts didn’t change the status so far What confuses me is that I still see other apps receiving updates, so I’m unsure whether this is a broader review delay or something submission-specific. I’m not trying to escalate anything — just looking to understand if this is currently affecting more developers. Would really appreciate hearing about your recent experiences. Thanks and good luck to everyone waiting 🙂

SpriteKit framerate drop on iOS 26.0
Hello, I have noticed a performance drop on SpriteKit-based projects running on iOS 26.0 (23A341). Below is a SpriteKit scene used to test framerate on different devices: import SpriteKit import SwiftUI class BareboneScene: SKScene { override func didMove(to view: SKView) { size = view.bounds.size anchorPoint = CGPoint(x: 0.5, y: 0.5) backgroundColor = .darkGray let roundedSquare = SKShapeNode(rectOf: CGSize(width: 150, height: 75), cornerRadius: 12) roundedSquare.fillColor = .systemRed roundedSquare.strokeColor = .black roundedSquare.lineWidth = 3 addChild(roundedSquare) let action = SKAction.rotate(byAngle: .pi, duration: 1) roundedSquare.run(.repeatForever(action)) } } struct BareboneSceneView: View { var body: some View { SpriteView( scene: BareboneScene(), debugOptions: [.showsFPS] ) .ignoresSafeArea() } } #Preview { BareboneSceneView() } The scene is very simple, yet framerate drops to ~40 fps as shown by the Metal HUD. Tested on: iPhone 13, iOS 26.0: framerate drops to 40 fps. Sometimes it runs at near 60fps. But if the screen is touched repeatedly, the framerate drops to 40-50 fps again. iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 26.0: ~40fps. iPad 9th Gen, iOS 18.6.2: 60fps, no issues. See screenshots attached. TESTFLIGHT: The requested app is not available or doesn t exist
Hello, I created an app using the latest version of Xcode (16.2), and I'm having a problem testing this app on my iPhones. I created this app just like all the others I've made for my clients, including one on (03/24/25), but when I went to upload another App to App Store Connect on (03/26/25) I couldn't test it on my phone. Points to consider: The app runs perfectly on the Emulator. All my terms and agreements with Apple are up to date. I tried to download the apps through Testflight on 2 different devices, iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 15.8.1) and iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 18.3.2), and I was unsuccessful in neither attempt. I can send my app to the internal testers, but when I click download, the following message appears: Could not install [APP NAME]. The requested App is not available or doesn't exist. I imagine this problem is with Apple itself, I have already contacted support, but I need to resolve this urgently for my customers. Has anyone experienced this and resolved it?

[Xcode 26 beta 4] Cannot receive device token from APNS using iOS 26 simulator
Since upgrading to Xcode 26 beta 4 and using the iOS 26 simulator for testing our app, we've stopped being able to receive device tokens for the simulator from the development APNS environment. The APNS environment is able to return meta device information (e.g. model, type, manufacturer) but there are no device tokens present. When running the same app using the iOS 18.5 simulator, we are able to register the device with the same APNS environment and receive a valid device token.

Reoccurring data access prompt issue with Swift Playgrounds 4.6.4 on macOS 26.1
Hello, I am having a recurring issue using Swift Playgrounds version 4.6.4 on macOS 26.1. Upon opening a file and every other time I start typing in the code section I get a prompt, the image below, two or three times. It doesn't matter if I accept or decline all or some of the prompts, as soon as I start typing on another line I get prompted another two or three times for permission. It appears to me that prompt generates every time the preview pane tries to update. Declining the prompt breaks the preview but accepting the prompt only gets you through a single line of code before it appears again. I believe this issue started after I updated to macOS26.1 as I had not encountered it before. I've also opened other files with Swift Playgrounds and encounter the same problem. It could also be unrelated to the update and could be an issue with some permission setting somewhere, however, I have been unable to find what or where it could be. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thank you for your time :)

[WebXR] Support for AR module in VisionOS 2.x
Thank you again for pushing the web forward in VisionOS 2, super exciting! The latest WWDC24 video touched on VR experiences for VisionOS2.0 using WebXR, however there was no mention of passthrough AR experiences. Samples such as this one are not supported: https://immersive-web.github.io/webxr-samples/immersive-ar-session.html In Settings > Safari, there is a feature flag for the AR WebXR module, but enabling it did not seem to change anything. Is this the expected behavior at this time? Any developer preview(s) we could try?

Unable to capture only the cursor in macOS Tahoe
Precondition: In system settings, scale the pointer size up to the max. Our SCScreenshotManager code currently works in macOS 15 and earlier to capture the cursor at it's larger size, but broke in one of the minor releases of macOS Tahoe. The error it produces now is "Failed to start stream due to audio/video capture failure". This only seems to happen with the cursor window, not any others. Another way to get the cursor is with https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appkit/nscursor/currentsystem, but that is now deprecated, which makes me think the capture of the cursor is being blocked deliberately. We see this as a critical loss of functionality for our apps, and could use guidance on what to use instead.

Incorrect menu consistency warnings logged in Tahoe for NSStatusItem, performance issues related?
Is anyone else getting new warning about menu items with submenus when running on Tahoe? I'm getting big performance problems using my menu as well as seeing these messages and I'm wondering if there's a connection. My app is faceless with a NSStatusItem with an NSMenu. Specifically it's my own subclass of NSMenu where I have a lot of code to manage the menu's dynamic behavior. This code is directly in the menu subclass instead of in a controller because the app I forked had it this way, a little wacky but I don't see it being a problem. A nib defines the contents of the menu, and it's instantiated manually with code like: var nibObjects: NSArray? = [] guard let nib = NSNib(nibNamed: "AppMenu", bundle: nil) else { ... } guard nib.instantiate(withOwner: owner, topLevelObjects: &nibObjects) else { ... } guard let menu = nibObjects?.compactMap({ $0 as? Self }).first else { ... } Within that nib.instantiate call I see a warning logged that seems new to Tahoe, before the menu's awakeFromNib is called, that says (edited): Internal inconsistency in menus - menu <NSMenu: 0x6000034e5340> believes it has <My_StatusItem_App.AppMenu: 0x7f9570c1a440> as a supermenu, but the supermenu does not seem to have any item with that submenu My_StatusItem_App.AppMenu: 0x7f9570c1a440 is my menu belonging to the NSStatusItem, NSMenu: 0x6000034e5340 is the submenu of one of its menu items. At a breakpoint in the NSMenu subclass's awakeFromNib I print self and see clear evidence of the warning's incorrectness. Below is a snippet of the console including the full warning, only edited for clarity and brevity. It shows on line 32 menu item with placeholder title "prototype batch item" that indeed has that submenu. Internal inconsistency in menus - menu <NSMenu: 0x6000034e5340> Title: Supermenu: 0x7f9570c1a440 (My StatusItem App), autoenable: YES Previous menu: 0x0 (None) Next menu: 0x0 (None) Items: ( "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4fa0 Do The Thing Again, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e5040 Customize\U2026, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e50e0, ke mask='<none>'>" ) believes it has <My_StatusItem_App.AppMenu: 0x7f9570c1a440> Title: My StatusItem App Supermenu: 0x0 (None), autoenable: YES Previous menu: 0x0 (None) Next menu: 0x0 (None) Items: ( ) as a supermenu, but the supermenu does not seem to have any item with that submenu (lldb) po self <My_StatusItem_App.AppMenu: 0x7f9570c1a440> Title: My StatusItem App Supermenu: 0x0 (None), autoenable: YES Previous menu: 0x0 (None) Next menu: 0x0 (None) Items: ( "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fd7c0 About My StatusItem App\U2026, ke mask='<none>', action: showAbout:, action image: info.circle>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fd860 Show Onboarding Window\U2026, ke mask='Shift', action: showIntro:>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fd900 Update Available\U2026, ke mask='<none>', action: installUpdate:, standard image: icloud.and.arrow.down, hidden>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e46e0, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4780 Start The Thing, ke mask='<none>', action: startTheThing:>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4dc0 \U2318-\U232b key detector item, ke mask='<none>', view: <My_StatusItem_App.KeyDetectorView: 0x7f9570c1a010>>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4e60, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4f00 saved batches heading item, ke mask='<none>', view: <NSView: 0x7f9570b4be10>, hidden>", "<My_StatusItem_App.BatchMenuItem: 0x6000016e02c0 prototype batch item, ke mask='<none>', action: replaySavedBatch:, submenu: 0x6000034e5340 ()>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010f7d40, ke mask='<none>'>", "<My_StatusItem_App.ClipMenuItem: 0x7f956ef14fd0 prototype copy clip item, ke mask='<none>', action: copyClip:>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fa620 Settings\U2026, ke='Command-,', action: showSettings:>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fa6c0, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fa760 Quit My StatusItem App, ke='Command-Q', action: quit:>" ) Is this seemingly incorrect inconsistency message harmless? When I tap on one of the buttons in the ShieldAction extension I want to close the shield and open the parent app instead of the shielded app. Is there any way of doing this using the Screen Time API? class ShieldActionExtension: ShieldActionDelegate {      override func handle(action: ShieldAction, for application: ApplicationToken, completionHandler: @escaping (ShieldActionResponse) -> Void) {     // Handle the action as needed.           let store = ManagedSettingsStore()               switch action {     case .primaryButtonPressed:       //TODO - open parent app       completionHandler(.defer)     case .secondaryButtonPressed:       //remove shield       store.shield.applications?.remove(application)       completionHandler(.defer)         @unknown default:       fatalError()     }   }   }

Can’t paste into Simulator after updating to Xcode 26.4
After updating to Xcode 26.4 (public release), I’m no longer able to paste from the Mac clipboard into the Simulator. Automatically Sync Pasteboard is on, and I have content on the clipboard, but paste doesn’t work—Cmd+V does nothing, and there’s no Paste option in the context menu. Is anyone else seeing this?

Is anyone else getting new warning about menu items with submenus when running on Tahoe? I'm getting big performance problems using my menu as well as seeing these messages and I'm wondering if there's a connection. My app is faceless with a NSStatusItem with an NSMenu. Specifically it's my own subclass of NSMenu where I have a lot of code to manage the menu's dynamic behavior. This code is directly in the menu subclass instead of in a controller because the app I forked had it this way, a little wacky but I don't see it being a problem. A nib defines the contents of the menu, and it's instantiated manually with code like: var nibObjects: NSArray? = [] guard let nib = NSNib(nibNamed: "AppMenu", bundle: nil) else { ... } guard nib.instantiate(withOwner: owner, topLevelObjects: &nibObjects) else { ... } guard let menu = nibObjects?.compactMap({ $0 as? Self }).first else { ... } Within that nib.instantiate call I see a warning logged that seems new to Tahoe, before the menu's awakeFromNib is called, that says (edited): Internal inconsistency in menus - menu <NSMenu: 0x6000034e5340> believes it has <My_StatusItem_App.AppMenu: 0x7f9570c1a440> as a supermenu, but the supermenu does not seem to have any item with that submenu My_StatusItem_App.AppMenu: 0x7f9570c1a440 is my menu belonging to the NSStatusItem, NSMenu: 0x6000034e5340 is the submenu of one of its menu items. At a breakpoint in the NSMenu subclass's awakeFromNib I print self and see clear evidence of the warning's incorrectness. Below is a snippet of the console including the full warning, only edited for clarity and brevity. It shows on line 32 menu item with placeholder title "prototype batch item" that indeed has that submenu. Internal inconsistency in menus - menu <NSMenu: 0x6000034e5340> Title: Supermenu: 0x7f9570c1a440 (My StatusItem App), autoenable: YES Previous menu: 0x0 (None) Next menu: 0x0 (None) Items: ( "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4fa0 Do The Thing Again, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e5040 Customize\U2026, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e50e0, ke mask='<none>'>" ) believes it has <My_StatusItem_App.AppMenu: 0x7f9570c1a440> Title: My StatusItem App Supermenu: 0x0 (None), autoenable: YES Previous menu: 0x0 (None) Next menu: 0x0 (None) Items: ( ) as a supermenu, but the supermenu does not seem to have any item with that submenu (lldb) po self <My_StatusItem_App.AppMenu: 0x7f9570c1a440> Title: My StatusItem App Supermenu: 0x0 (None), autoenable: YES Previous menu: 0x0 (None) Next menu: 0x0 (None) Items: ( "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fd7c0 About My StatusItem App\U2026, ke mask='<none>', action: showAbout:, action image: info.circle>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fd860 Show Onboarding Window\U2026, ke mask='Shift', action: showIntro:>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fd900 Update Available\U2026, ke mask='<none>', action: installUpdate:, standard image: icloud.and.arrow.down, hidden>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e46e0, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4780 Start The Thing, ke mask='<none>', action: startTheThing:>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4dc0 \U2318-\U232b key detector item, ke mask='<none>', view: <My_StatusItem_App.KeyDetectorView: 0x7f9570c1a010>>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4e60, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010e4f00 saved batches heading item, ke mask='<none>', view: <NSView: 0x7f9570b4be10>, hidden>", "<My_StatusItem_App.BatchMenuItem: 0x6000016e02c0 prototype batch item, ke mask='<none>', action: replaySavedBatch:, submenu: 0x6000034e5340 ()>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010f7d40, ke mask='<none>'>", "<My_StatusItem_App.ClipMenuItem: 0x7f956ef14fd0 prototype copy clip item, ke mask='<none>', action: copyClip:>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fa620 Settings\U2026, ke='Command-,', action: showSettings:>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fa6c0, ke mask='<none>'>", "<NSMenuItem: 0x6000010fa760 Quit My StatusItem App, ke='Command-Q', action: quit:>" ) Is this seemingly incorrect inconsistency message harmless? Am I only grasping at straws to think it has some connection to the performance issues with this menu?
