No, seriously, what's the excuse there? How many apps never got to iOS because of this? I already have a computer I'm happy with, buying a Mac just for code is too much. Yet I really wish I could develop for my iPad, because I love my iPad. So here I am, doing android dev for my phone, hopping someday, I can make iOS dev too.

Background process not working in TestFlight
Hi everyone, I recently built an iOS application that fetches the healthkit data with the BGProcessingTask. It is working as expected in the debug with the physical device connected but its not working in Testflight. I printed out the logs but they don't show that the background process's running. Invalid Profiles
Hello Team! Recently we cleaned up profiles and renewed certificates under developer account, noticing profile expiration date showing invalid, it supposed to show certificate expiration date. Due to this I am not able to update or download profiles. Any one experienced this this? what would be the solution?. Thanks, Kumar.

How can I add a folder to my app's bundle
In previous Xcode versions, it was possible to add a folder reference to a project, and in the copy resources build phase it would copy the folder the bundle, rather than the contents (i.e. the folder's contents would be nested inside a directory named after the folder). In Xcode 16.4, when creating a folder reference, the copy resources build phase will copy the contents of the folder to the bundle at the root level (not nested), like the old behavior when creating a group rather than a folder reference. If you look at the raw project.pbxproj file, it shows up as a "File System Synchronized Root Group" rather than a "File Reference". Is there a way to get the old behavior, aside from hand-editing the project.pbxproj file?

Trackpad Right-Click (Two-Finger Tap) Support in Linux Guests – macOS Virtualization Framework
Hello, I'm developing a macOS application that uses the Virtualization framework to run Linux virtual machines (specifically Ubuntu and Fedora) on Apple Silicon Macs. I've noticed that while the macOS host properly supports all trackpad gestures, the two-finger tap gesture for right-click does not work within the Linux guest. Only the primary click is recognized. This behavior is consistent across different Linux distributions and desktop environments (GNOME, KDE, etc.). I would like to confirm: Is the macOS Virtualization framework expected to support trackpad gestures such as two-finger tap for right-click within Linux guest VMs? If not currently supported, is there a known workaround to enable right-click functionality for the trackpad in Linux guests? (e.g., configuration changes in the VM, Linux kernel input modules, or framework-level adjustments.) Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Watch Simulator ( Xcode 16.3)
I have an Watch APP and it's iOS APP .. I want to test it via the Simulator. (with my real Watch I have a lot of Xcode error and an open ticket with Apple) Xcode 16.2 associates an Iphone16 to the Series 10 Watch simulated. BUT the Watch is not associeted to the iPhone. WCSession.isSupported is true, but session.isPaired is false on the iPhone. On the Watch : session.isReachable returns false. But in its settings the Simulator shows the Watch. And It is the same problem with another model of Watch in the Simulator.

app not playing audio when not in focus
My app works fine when I load it directly from Xcode to my phone via USB but once I load it to TestFlight the sounds no longer play when the app is not in focus or the phone is locked. I've tried every combination of tools available from the support group and from AI! And I'm out of ideas.

Context I created a short script to CPU profile a program from the command line. I am able to record via the Instruments app, but when I try from the command line I get the following error shown below. This example is just profiling the grep command. Stuck on "Purchase your membership" After Payment - Over 1 week
Hi everyone, I'm having an issue completing my Apple Developer Program enrollment. After submitting payment, I keep seeing the message: “Purchase your membership. To continue your enrollment, complete your purchase now. Your purchase may take up to 48 hours to process.” It’s been over 1 week, and this message hasn’t changed. I’ve already made the purchase twice. I’ve tried: • Logging out and back into my Apple ID • Using different browsers • Waiting patiently as instructed (well beyond 48 hours) Still, I can't proceed or access my developer account. This is blocking my app release, and I haven’t been able to get a clear response from the portal. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I escalate this to get it resolved? MusicKit failed retrieving tokens on Simulator.
Is anyone else receiving this warning from Xcode when running on the Simulator? "Failed retrieving MusicKit tokens: fetching the developer token is not supported in the simulator when running on this version of macOS; please upgrade your Mac to macOS Ventura." My Mac is already updated to macOS Sequoia, and I'm also running the latest version of Xcode. Feedback: FB17150538

Support when publishing App Store App.
I am a new app developer and am entirely new to the process of developing and publishing an app. Right now I am in the midst of publishing my app and have bumped into an issue which app store connect isn't really helping to answer. I was wondering if I could get help here for these issues. Have a countdown feature that works based on device id. The device id and all others go through but the countdown feature doesn't show up. This is an issue that only seems to occur on the App Review's ipad air (5th gen) iPadOS 18.5. I have tested the app on my iphone 14,ipad mini and ipad pro with no issues. I'm not sure how I am supposed to solve an issue which I am unable to recreate. (I have told Apple Review to try reloading the page or resubmitting the dates required for the countdown. They claimed to have resubmitted the dates but have mentioned nothing about reloading the page.) Currently, I am trying to find a way to work the app on the ipad air but if i am unable to recreate the issue,I'm not sure how to solve it. please help!

In-app purchases fetching issue
I am trying to add in-app purchases to my app. I created a StoreKit Configuration file and checked the option 'Sync this file with an app in App Store Connect' because I have already completed the subscription setup in my Apple Developer account. I also tried implementing the in-app purchases directly without using the StoreKit Configuration file, but I’m getting an 'Invalid Product Identifiers' error. I’ve double-checked, and the product ID matches the one listed in my Apple account. Please guide me on what I should do.

xcode 16.3 now not selecting correct Signing Certificate with Automatically Manage Signing Selected
HI, I upgraded to macos 15.5 and xcode 16.3. Last year I was able to update one of my apps on the App Store without issues. Today, after a successful Testflight test, I now need to submit a new version of my app to the App Store for Distribution as the next version/build. However, when I configure a manual setting for the signing, I can select the correct choices. But when I click automatically manage signing, and choose the correct team, xcode put in the wrong signing certificate. It is choose a development one, and not the distribution one. I am concerned about this since I have read that when using the Archive tool, it choses the automatically manage signing by default. And that check box is selecting the "default" settings. I do not know where these default settings are being set, or how to fix this issue. I do not see any info in my searching up to this point. I hope someone can help. thank you, cc

“Too many verification codes sent” error – 2FA SMS never arrives on standard login
Hello everyone, I’m running into an issue when logging into my Apple Developer account on the official site. After entering my Apple ID and password, I immediately see: too many verification codes sent At this point I should receive a 6-digit 2FA code via SMS to my trusted phone number, but nothing ever arrives. I’ve waited from one to seven days and tried again, but I still get the same error and still no SMS. I’ve double-checked that: My trusted phone number is correct in my Apple ID settings. My carrier isn’t blocking or rate-limiting SMS messages. Steps to reproduce: Go to developer.apple.com and click “Sign In.” Enter Apple ID and password. Submit credentials → immediately see “too many verification codes sent.” No SMS arrives. Retrying doesn’t help. Expected behavior: Apple sends a new 6-digit 2FA SMS to my trusted number. After entering it, I can complete the login flow. Actual behavior: I receive the “too many verification codes sent” message instantly. I never get the SMS code, even after waiting or retrying. Has anyone else experienced this on the standard Developer portal? Is there a way to clear the “too many verification codes sent” flag or otherwise force delivery of the 2FA SMS? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

empty dSYM file detected - Xcode 16
Hi , I am currently encountering issues while running a Titanium application using Xcode 16. I would like to request your guidance on resolving the following problems: When running the Titanium app on a real device, I receive the following warning in Xcode and the app does not proceed beyond this point and the app is crashing on launch. warning: (arm64) /Users/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Procedures-hamsarmfbtnowbcdocpmydtuafnp/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/Procedures.app/Procedures empty dSYM file detected, dSYM was created with an executable with no debug info. How can one suppress SF Symbol deprecation warnings?
Xcode 16 insists on showing deprecations of this type: Some.xib SF Symbol 'doc.on.doc' is deprecated, use 'document.on.document' instead. The problem is that the XIBs in question are set with a Deployment Target of macOS 12, where "document.on.document" actually isn't available and produces a missing image. So the warnings are wrong, as they ignore the deployment target set on the XIB. I filed a bug against this long ago and it was ignored. Having given up... does anyone know how to disable this particular warning?

Xcode16.x+ios18.x simulator crashing and tests are failing
We are seeing crashes after upgrading to xcode16.x ( tested with 16.1 , 16.2 and 16.3) and ios 18.1, 18.2, 18.3.1 and 18.4 . when tests are running simulator is crashing with mulitple reasons. Hi everyone, I'm having an issue completing my Apple Developer Program enrollment. After submitting payment, I keep seeing the message: “Purchase your membership. To continue your enrollment, complete your purchase now. Your purchase may take up to 48 hours to process.” It’s been over 1 week, and this message hasn’t changed. I’ve already made the purchase twice. I’ve tried: • Logging out and back into my Apple ID • Using different browsers • Waiting patiently as instructed (well beyond 48 hours) Still, I can't proceed or access my developer account. This is blocking my app release, and I haven’t been able to get a clear response from the portal. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I escalate this to get it resolved? MusicKit failed retrieving tokens on Simulator.
Is anyone else receiving this warning from Xcode when running on the Simulator? "Failed retrieving MusicKit tokens: fetching the developer token is not supported in the simulator when running on this version of macOS; please upgrade your Mac to macOS Ventura." My Mac is already updated to macOS Sequoia, and I'm also running the latest version of Xcode. Feedback: FB17150538

Support when publishing App Store App.
I am a new app developer and am entirely new to the process of developing and publishing an app. Right now I am in the midst of publishing my app and have bumped into an issue which app store connect isn't really helping to answer. I was wondering if I could get help here for these issues. Have a countdown feature that works based on device id. The device id and all others go through but the countdown feature doesn't show up. This is an issue that only seems to occur on the App Review's ipad air (5th gen) iPadOS 18.5. I have tested the app on my iphone 14,ipad mini and ipad pro with no issues. I'm not sure how I am supposed to solve an issue which I am unable to recreate. (I have told Apple Review to try reloading the page or resubmitting the dates required for the countdown. They claimed to have resubmitted the dates but have mentioned nothing about reloading the page.) Currently, I am trying to find a way to work the app on the ipad air but if i am unable to recreate the issue,I'm not sure how to solve it. please help!

In-app purchases fetching issue
I am trying to add in-app purchases to my app. I created a StoreKit Configuration file and checked the option 'Sync this file with an app in App Store Connect' because I have already completed the subscription setup in my Apple Developer account. I also tried implementing the in-app purchases directly without using the StoreKit Configuration file, but I’m getting an 'Invalid Product Identifiers' error. I’ve double-checked, and the product ID matches the one listed in my Apple account. Please guide me on what I should do.

xcode 16.3 now not selecting correct Signing Certificate with Automatically Manage Signing Selected
HI, I upgraded to macos 15.5 and xcode 16.3. Last year I was able to update one of my apps on the App Store without issues. Today, after a successful Testflight test, I now need to submit a new version of my app to the App Store for Distribution as the next version/build. However, when I configure a manual setting for the signing, I can select the correct choices. But when I click automatically manage signing, and choose the correct team, xcode put in the wrong signing certificate. It is choose a development one, and not the distribution one. I am concerned about this since I have read that when using the Archive tool, it choses the automatically manage signing by default. And that check box is selecting the "default" settings. I do not know where these default settings are being set, or how to fix this issue. I do not see any info in my searching up to this point. I hope someone can help. thank you, cc

“Too many verification codes sent” error – 2FA SMS never arrives on standard login
Hello everyone, I’m running into an issue when logging into my Apple Developer account on the official site. After entering my Apple ID and password, I immediately see: too many verification codes sent At this point I should receive a 6-digit 2FA code via SMS to my trusted phone number, but nothing ever arrives. I’ve waited from one to seven days and tried again, but I still get the same error and still no SMS. I’ve double-checked that: My trusted phone number is correct in my Apple ID settings. My carrier isn’t blocking or rate-limiting SMS messages. Steps to reproduce: Go to developer.apple.com and click “Sign In.” Enter Apple ID and password. Submit credentials → immediately see “too many verification codes sent.” No SMS arrives. Retrying doesn’t help. Expected behavior: Apple sends a new 6-digit 2FA SMS to my trusted number. After entering it, I can complete the login flow. Actual behavior: I receive the “too many verification codes sent” message instantly. I never get the SMS code, even after waiting or retrying. Has anyone else experienced this on the standard Developer portal? Is there a way to clear the “too many verification codes sent” flag or otherwise force delivery of the 2FA SMS? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

empty dSYM file detected - Xcode 16
Hi , I am currently encountering issues while running a Titanium application using Xcode 16. I would like to request your guidance on resolving the following problems: When running the Titanium app on a real device, I receive the following warning in Xcode and the app does not proceed beyond this point and the app is crashing on launch. warning: (arm64) /Users/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Procedures-hamsarmfbtnowbcdocpmydtuafnp/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/Procedures.app/Procedures empty dSYM file detected, dSYM was created with an executable with no debug info. How can one suppress SF Symbol deprecation warnings?
Xcode 16 insists on showing deprecations of this type: Some.xib SF Symbol 'doc.on.doc' is deprecated, use 'document.on.document' instead. The problem is that the XIBs in question are set with a Deployment Target of macOS 12, where "document.on.document" actually isn't available and produces a missing image. So the warnings are wrong, as they ignore the deployment target set on the XIB. I filed a bug against this long ago and it was ignored. Having given up... does anyone know how to disable this particular warning?

Xcode16.x+ios18.x simulator crashing and tests are failing
We are seeing crashes after upgrading to xcode16.x ( tested with 16.1 , 16.2 and 16.3) and ios 18.1, 18.2, 18.3.1 and 18.4 . when tests are running simulator is crashing with mulitple reasons.
