Final reminder: Answer the updated age ratings questions
I have already submitted the updated age rating options and even published a new version of the app after doing so. However, I still received an email with the subject “Final reminder: Answer the updated age ratings questions,” stating that the age rating options have not been submitted. I checked the App Information section, and all the required age rating options are correctly selected. Has anyone else received a similar email? Is there any additional action that needs to be taken?

hidesBottomBarWhenPushed is bugged on iOS 26
I am using a common UI pattern: UITabBarController as window root, each tab with a separate UINavigationController stack. I want the (bottom!) tab bar to be only visible when the user is at the root of the app and hide it when a detail page is opened. To do that, I used hidesBottomBarWhenPushed on any view controller that would be pushed on my navigation stacks and that worked fine in the past. But with iOS 26, I am seeing several issues: On iOS where when the bottom tab bar is used, when in a details page and navigating back, the tab bar becomes fully visible immediately instead of slowly animating in as it has been in the past. This is particular visible and annoying when using the "swipe to go back" gesture On iPad, the situation is even worse: On iPadOS 18, the tab bar appeared in the navigation controller's navigation bar - no matter if hidesBottomBarWhenPushed was set or not - fine. But now, with iPadOS 26, this top tab bar disappears when a child is pushed. Not only that, it disappears abruptly, without animation, and the Liquid Glass effect on the UIBarButtonItems is broken as well. There is no transition whatsoever, buttons are simply replaced with the new UIBarButtonItems of the pushed view controller once it became fully visible. It gets even worse when swipe-back navigating on iPadOS: As soon as the back transition starts, the tab bar becomes visible again (without animation), covering the title (view) of the UINavigationController. If the swipe-back transition is not completed the tab bar suddenly stays visible When the swipe-back transition is interrupted close to the end of the transition and it goes back to the pushed view controller, the top UIBarButtonItems are showing a visual glitch where the content (text or icon) stays on the area where the tab bar is, while their container (the glass effect) are on the vertically aligned to the title view. I am surprised that I have not found any similar reports of these problems, so I am wondering if I am doing anything wrong or using hidesBottomBarWhenPushed simply isn't recommended or supported any more.

Clarification requested on Secure Enclave key usage across apps with shared keychain access group
During internal testing, we observed the following behavior and would appreciate clarification on whether it is expected and supported in production environments. When generating an elliptic-curve cryptographic key pair using "kSecAttrTokenIDSecureEnclave", and explicitly specifying a "kSecAttrAccessGroup", we found that cryptographic operations (specifically encryption and decryption) could be successfully performed using this key pair from two distinct applications. Both applications had the Keychain Sharing capability enabled and were signed with the same provisioning profile identity. Given the documented security properties of Secure Enclave, backed keys, namely that private key material is protected by hardware and access is strictly constrained by design, we would like to confirm whether the ability for multiple applications (sharing the same keychain access group and signing identity) to perform cryptographic operations with the same Secure Enclave–backed key is expected behavior on iOS. Specifically, we are seeking confirmation on: Whether this behavior is intentional and supported in production. Whether the Secure Enclave enforces access control primarily at the application-identifier (App ID) level rather than the individual app bundle level in this scenario. Whether there are any documented limitations or guarantees regarding cross-application usage of Secure Enclave keys when keychain sharing is configured. Any guidance or references to official documentation clarifying this behavior would be greatly appreciated.

NotificationCenter Crash On iOS 18+ Swift6.2
After switching our iOS app project from Swift 5 to Swift 6 and publishing an update, we started seeing a large number of crashes in Firebase Crashlytics. The crashes are triggered by NotificationCenter methods (post, addObserver, removeObserver) and show the following error: BUG IN CLIENT OF LIBDISPATCH: Assertion failed: Block was expected to execute on queue [com.apple.main-thread (0x1f9dc1580)] All scopes to related calls are already explicitly marked with @MainActor. This issue never occurred with Swift 5, but appeared immediately after moving to Swift 6. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a known solution or workaround? Thanks in advance!

Xcode Cloud Builds Failing with 7-8 Errors - Builds Stuck in "Processing" on App Store Connect
Hey there. I'm experiencing a critical issue with Xcode Cloud builds for my macOS application (bundle ID: com.mymind.mymind-mac) where builds fail in Xcode Cloud with 7-8 errors, yet all logs indicate successful completion. Additionally, when manually uploading builds, they become stuck in "Processing" status indefinitely on App Store Connect. Issue Details: Problem: Xcode Cloud reports 7-8 build errors but logs show no fatal errors Secondary Issue: Builds uploaded to App Store Connect remain in "Processing" status indefinitely Platform: macOS application with Safari Web Extension Xcode Version: 26.1.1 (26B100) - Xcode 26.1 Build Environment: Xcode Cloud What Works: Package dependency resolution completes successfully Archive creation succeeds (** ARCHIVE SUCCEEDED **) Export succeeds (** EXPORT SUCCEEDED **) Provisioning profiles are created correctly Code signing completes without errors Manual upload to App Store Connect completes What Fails: Xcode Cloud: Build process fails with 7-8 errors, but no corresponding errors in logs App Store Connect: Builds remain stuck in "Processing" status and never become available for TestFlight or submission Logs Examined: All logs indicate successful completion with no fatal errors: xcodebuild-archive.log - Shows ** ARCHIVE SUCCEEDED ** xcodebuild-export-archive.log - Shows ** EXPORT SUCCEEDED ** resolve_package_dependencies.log - All packages resolved successfully IDEDistribution_standard.log - All distribution steps complete IDEDistributionPipeline.log - Packaging succeeds, code signing succeeds IDEDistributionProvisioning.log - Provisioning profiles created successfully IDEDistribution_critical.log - Only shows deprecated command warning Only Warning Found: App Store Connect request for store configuration failed for account Session Proxy Provider Unable to authenticate with App Store Connect (Error Domain=DVTITunesSoftwareServiceFoundation.DVTServicesSessionProviderCredentialITunesAuthenticationContextError Code=1) Failed to find an account with App Store Connect access for team XXXXXXX This warning appears non-fatal as the export completes successfully afterward. Xcode Cloud Behavior: Xcode Cloud dashboard shows 7-8 errors No error details are visible in the Xcode Cloud UI All log files downloaded from Xcode Cloud show successful completion Build artifacts are created successfully App Store Connect Behavior: Builds upload successfully (confirmed via Xcode) Build appears in App Store Connect with correct version/build number Status shows "Processing" with spinning indicator Build never completes processing (tested for 24+ hours) No email notifications about processing failures App Configuration: macOS application (minimum version: macOS 12.0) Includes Safari Web Extension (SafariWebExtension.appex) Includes Lottie framework Uses automatic signing with managed provisioning profiles Also tried with manual signing Both Development and Distribution certificates valid until November 2026 Questions: Why does Xcode Cloud report 7-8 errors when all logs show successful completion? Where can I find the actual error details? Why do builds remain stuck in "Processing" on App Store Connect? Is there a backend validation failing that isn't being reported? Are there additional diagnostic logs that would show the actual errors Xcode Cloud is detecting? Is this related to the App Store Connect authentication warning? The logs suggest Xcode Cloud can't authenticate with App Store Connect properly, despite having valid credentials. Could this be related to Xcode 26.1.1 (26.1) compatibility with Xcode Cloud or App Store Connect processing? Steps Taken: Verified all certificates and provisioning profiles are valid Tested local builds and manual uploads (upload succeeds) Reviewed all available log files Waited 24+ hours for App Store Connect processing Tested both development and distribution exports (both succeed) This issue is completely blocking our automated CI/CD pipeline and preventing us from releasing updates to the App Store. We cannot use Xcode Cloud for its intended purpose, and even manual workarounds fail at the App Store Connect processing stage. Any hints or ideas would be welcome.

BGTaskScheduler Terminated due to memory issue
Hello everybody! I'm currently working on a Bluetooth Low Energy Sync that is using BGTaskScheduler & successfully running periodically in the Background on iOS 26. I did watch this years WWDC Session 227 (Finish tasks in the background) & follow the recommendations as suggested. Currently, the App is only using 37 Mb (iPhone 12 mini) & no Location or other services are running in Background. However, when opening Safari & scrolling through some webpages, the App is killed because of "Terminated due to memory issue". I profiled the App & followed advice when it comes to reducing the memory footprint of the App. Are there any additional steps I can take to prevent the App being killed? Are there any recommendations for periodically scheduled Tasks when it comes to the Interval? Do more frequent Tasks (30min compared to one or two hours) have any impact? I tried many different schedules but none seem to make a difference. From my observation, the App is first suspended & eventually killed because of the Memory Pressure. Any hints, suggestions or recommendations are highly appreciated! Thanks a lot for the support!

Is testing of Age Range API available in xcode simulator?
From https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/803945?answerId=862153022#862153022, the testing of Age Range API was not available through xcode simulator back in Oct 2025. Is this available now? In particular: Is requestAgeRange testing available through simulator? Is requestAgeRange testing with sandbox account available through simulator? Is isEligibleForAgeFeatures available through simulator? Is isEligibleForAgeFeatures testing with sandbox account available through simulator? If the answer is "yes" to any of the above, which version of the xcode and ios version should I use? So far I didn't get any of the above working on the simulator, and I can't find any documentation on the answers above. Thank you!

Using HealthKit to display data on CarPlay UI
I'd like to investigate creating a safety feature for Type 1 Diabetics driving a car. Allowing HealthKit glucose data (read from a Dexcom G7 or similar) to be displayed as part of the CarPlay UI background or show an icon/button with the number visible. I'd also like to include a warning system for glucose low's that alerts the driver audibly. Has anyone looked into that before?

Need Inputs on Which Extension to Use
Hi all, I have a working macOS (Intel) system extension app that currently uses only a Content Filter (NEFilterDataProvider). I need to capture/log HTTP and HTTPS traffic in plain text, and I understand NETransparentProxyProvider is the right extension type for that. For HTTPS I will need TLS inspection / a MITM proxy — I’m new to that and unsure how complex it will be. For DNS data (in plain text), can I use the same extension, or do I need a separate extension type such as NEPacketTunnelProvider, NEFilterPacketProvider, or NEDNSProxyProvider? Current architecture: Two Xcode targets: MainApp and a SystemExtension target. The SystemExtension target contains multiple network extension types. MainApp ↔ SystemExtension communicate via a bidirectional NSXPC connection. I can already enable two extensions (Content Filter and TransparentProxy). With the NETransparentProxy, I still need to implement HTTPS capture. Questions I’d appreciate help with: Can NETransparentProxy capture the DNS fields I need (dns_hostname, dns_query_type, dns_response_code, dns_answer_number, etc.), or do I need an additional extension type to capture DNS in plain text? If a separate extension is required, is it possible or problematic to include that extension type (Packet Tunnel / DNS Proxy / etc.) in the same SystemExtension Xcode target as the TransparentProxy? Any recommended resources or guidance on TLS inspection / MITM proxy setup for capturing HTTPS logs? There are multiple DNS transport types — am I correct that capturing DNS over UDP (port 53) is not necessarily sufficient? Which DNS types should I plan to handle? I’ve read that TransparentProxy and other extension types (e.g., Packet Tunnel) cannot coexist in the same Xcode target. Is that true? Best approach for delivering logs from multiple extensions to the main app (is it feasible)? Or what’s the best way to capture logs so an external/independent process (or C/C++ daemon) can consume them? Required data to capture (not limited to): All HTTP/HTTPS (request, body, URL, response, etc.) DNS fields: dns_hostname, dns_query_type, dns_response_code, dns_answer_number, and other DNS data — all in plain text. I’ve read various resources but remain unclear which extension(s) to use and whether multiple extension types can be combined in one Xcode target. Please ask if you need more details. Thank you.

Cancel 'Share age range in app'
Hello I'm testing an 'age range sharing' feature using the AgeRangeService API in an app we service. I approved 'Age Sharing' during testing. (For your information, my account is an adult account.) For repeat testing, I would like to delete the our app from 'Apps that requested user age information' or cancel the sharing status. However, there doesn't seem to be such a feature. Is there a way I can't find, or is this a feature that Apple doesn't offer?

Xcode Cloud Fails on Export: App Store Connect Authentication Error
Hello, Our Xcode Cloud builds are successfully archiving but fail every time during the "Export archive for app-store distribution" step. The issue appears to be a persistent authentication failure with App Store Connect that we are unable to resolve. Primary Error: The build logs show a critical authentication failure. IDEDistribution.critical.log shows: App Store Connect request for store configuration failed for account Session Proxy Provider... Unable to authenticate with App Store Connect. DVTITunesSoftwareService.log specifies the error is DVTITunesSoftwareServiceFoundation.DVTServicesSessionProviderCredentialITunesAuthenticationContextError.proxy. The build process eventually terminates during the IDEDistributionSymbolsStep with an Rsync failed error, which we believe is a symptom of the earlier authentication failure. Troubleshooting Already Performed: We have already taken the following steps without success: Verified the account used for the integration has "Account Holder" and "Admin" roles. Confirmed that Xcode Cloud's automatic signing is working correctly and is able to create new provisioning profiles. Thoroughly checked the App Store Connect web UI under Users and Access > Integrations > Xcode Cloud for a way to reset the connection, but no such option exists. Removed and re-added the Apple ID in the Xcode application's settings (Xcode > Settings > Accounts) on a local Mac. Our hypothesis is that the integrated authentication session between Xcode Cloud and App Store Connect is invalid or stale, and there is no user-facing way to reset it. Has anyone else encountered this "Session Proxy Provider" authentication error with Xcode Cloud? Is there a known solution or a different method to force a re-authentication of the service connection? Any guidance from Apple engineers or other developers would be greatly appreciated. How to test SignificantChange Permission Ask
I'm developing for compliance with Texas law in the United States. Currently, I'm encountering an issue where I want to test the feature point "when the app undergoes significant changes, a supervised user initiates a request." However, during actual testing, the app pops up an error message: "Can't Ask, An Unknown error occurred." Additionally, I see the following error message in the Xcode Console: "Error Domain=AskToCore.ATMessageComposeValidationError Code=4 'The user is in a region that does not support this type of ask.' UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=The user must be in a supported region to use this feature., NSLocalizedRecoverySuggestion=Please ensure the user is in an eligible region., NSLocalizedDescription=The user is in a region that does not support this type of ask.}" I am indeed not in the Texas region. I want to conduct full-process testing before the feature is released to the App Store. What should I do? Apart from Sandbox testing (which, in fact, doesn't show any pop-ups either), how can I test under real-world conditions?

Advanced App Clip Experience Stuck in 'Received' Status in App Store Connect
Hello, We are reporting an issue with an Advanced App Clip Experience that we created in App Store Connect. Issue: The Advanced App Clip Experience, created on Wednesday, December 10th, has remained in the 'Received' status since its submission, and we have not seen any progress or change in its review status. Context: After conducting extensive research through the Apple Developer Forums, we have observed that numerous developers have reported similar problems with Advanced App Clip Experiences getting stuck indefinitely in the 'Received' status. In several of these discussions, the recommended course of action for persistent delays or lack of status updates is to open a report via Feedback Assistant. FYI, our feedback assistant number is FB21344257 We kindly request your assistance in investigating this matter and helping us move forward with our Advanced App Clip Experience. Thank you for your time and support. Best regards,

PSVR2 controller button quirks
I have an open Feedback conversation with Apple on this topic, but I am curious if others have run into this, or want to try out my sample code in their set up. there are two API’s for reading controller buttons, axis, and D pads: GCPhysicalInputProfile and GCControllerLiveInput. There are inconsistencies in behaviour between the two of them. Apple recommends we use GCControllerLiveInput, however, there are some capabilities on these controllers that are only accessible through GCPhysicalInputProfile, as I’ll discuss below. PSVR2 R2/L2 buttons, a.k.a. triggers, have force input analogue values. These can only be accessed on GCPhysicalInputProfile PSVR2 thumbstick direction values are read through “axes” on GCPhysicalInputProfile, but only “dpads” on GCControllerLiveInput on both GCPhysicalInputProfile and GCControllerLiveInput, All pressed events of all buttons are fired properly using generic aliases ( Trigger, Grip ,Menu, Right Thumbstick, Left Thumbstick, Right Button A & B (Circle & Cross), Left Button A&B (Triangle and Square) ). Apple reserves the system button as the equivalent of a home button for the OS. on GCPhysicalInputProfile, touch events are fired when the button is also pressed, but not for only touches. on GCControllerLiveInput , Touch events only works for the following buttons: Left Thumbstick, Right Thumbstick, Right Button A (Circle), and Right Button B (Cross). But Right Button B touch event isn’t labelled correctly, it fires as the Right Button A event. I observed this inside ALVR which uses a polling based approach to event processing: https://github.com/alvr-org/alvr-visionos/blob/17b5968f9d894944b53e97134b39dfce0993302a/ALVRClient/WorldTracker.swift#L301 To simplify to see this on a very simple app, I used the Apple example TrackingAccessories application: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/ARKit/tracking-accessories-in-volumetric-windows I’ve attached the code that replaces the AccessoryTrackingModel class. I added code that prints out what is touched/pressed, see the trackAllConnectedSpatialControllers method: https://github.com/svrc/TrackingAccessories

HCE in iPhone
Hello, maybe anyone know anything about HCE (Host card emulation) feature on iOS? As far as I read, it's not possible to achieve this functionality on iOS, but maybe there are plans to implement that? Or maybe it's clear that it wont be allowed to be used at all? Thanks:)

Disable ISO15693Tag Popup
Dear Apple CS, I’m working with NFC ISO15693 tags using NFCTagReaderSession / NFCISO15693Tag, and I’d like to read these tags in the background if possible. Is there any way to read this tag type without triggering the system NFC popup that iOS normally shows? Please note it will not be a public app, the app is meant for internal use for our employees only. is there an option to submit a special request for this use case? Thank you in advance!
