Xcode Cloud Signing Issue
There seems to be a problem to a specific Apple Developer Account regarding Xcode Cloud Distribution (Signing). The Xcode Cloud Error Invalid Signature. Code failed to satisfy specified code requirement(s). The file at path “XcodeCloudTest.app/XcodeCloudTest” is not properly signed. Make sure you have signed your application with a distribution certificate, not an ad hoc certificate or a development certificate. Verify that the code signing settings in Xcode are correct at the target level (which override any values at the project level). Additionally, make sure the bundle you are uploading was built using a Release target in Xcode, not a Simulator target. If you are certain your code signing settings are correct, choose “Clean All” in Xcode, delete the “build” directory in the Finder, and rebuild your release target. For more information, please consult https://developer.apple.com/support/code-signing. Investigation Apple Developer Forums This issue seems to be known: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/746210 Debugging by ourselves We setup an example Xcode project from a default iOS Xcode app template to rule out any project issues. This example project failed with the same error as stated above. In the next step we tried the same example project with a different Apple Developer Account and it successfully distributed the example App through Xcode Cloud. Conclusion It seems like there is no setup issue on developer-side, because our example project works out-of-the-box on a different Apple Developer Account. Our only hope is that Apple will have a look on our Developer Account. Maybe there is some internal setting.

Membership renewal
Hello. My developer membership is expired. I cannot renew because the renewal option/button does not appears in any device. A banner tells me: "Any apps you had on the App Store are no longer available for download and you can no longer access membership benefits. If you’d like to renew your membership to reinstate your apps and membership benefits, open the Apple Developer app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Sign in to your account, tap/click Renew, and follow the prompts. If you agreed to the Paid Applications Agreement, you’ll need to agree to it again after renewal in the Agreements, Tax and Banking section of App Store Connect." However, there's no "Renew" to tap or click anywhere in the app nor in the web. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Accessibility of Show Password Buttons
We have a password entry field with a "show password" button. The button effectively turns the "secure text entry" textfield into a non-secure text entry field allowing the user to view what they typed in. When VoiceOver is enabled, I am not including that button in the UI; it doesn't seem to make sense to me for the following reasons. If you properly test with the screen curtain, the functionality is useless. You don't see anything. I've tried to explain this to my accessibility team. It's also quite ridiculous to offer to show a blind user their password, I'm sure they'd love to see it, but they just can't. This would almost seem insulting as well. If by toggling that button, and turning a secure text entry into a non-secure text entry, now the app is literally speaking their password aloud. This seems like a security vulnerability to me. What if someone else overhears the password spoken aloud. The accessibility team is insisting that I need to include the "show password" button when VoiceOver is enabled. This is the response I received. "functionality should be the same for VI users as for sighted users. It may happen that a VI user wants to check what is typed into password field in order to correct mistakes". Again, I don't agree with that because functionality should not be the same. Functionality should be changed and altered as necessary to make the user experience as accessible as possible. And in this scenario, to me the functionality doesn't make sense at all in a VoiceOver setting. Any thoughts on this? Am I incorrect here? Are there benefits of including a "show password" button to a user utilizing VoiceOver? What should then the functionality be? Speak the password aloud? Thanks.

No response to bug fix approval request
Hello, I submitted an app update (submission ID: 3bbbd08f-6ca9-40a2-bdc1-a2f33061f647) that was rejected for Guideline 4.0 - Design (about ad frequency issues). The rejection message included this option: "The issues we've identified below are eligible to be resolved on your next update. If this submission includes bug fixes and you'd like to have it approved at this time, reply to this message and let us know." I replied on December 11 at 10:21 PM asking to approve the current version as a bug fix, and that I would address the ad frequency in my next update. It's now been over 35 hours with no response. Should I resubmit my binary for review? Typically, when I reply to the App Review message in such a scenario, my app gets approved in a few hours.

Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement — typical review timeline?
Hello! I recently submitted a request for the Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement for my app, and I’m trying to understand what kind of timeline to expect. I’ve seen posts suggesting anywhere from a few days to over a month for approval. Is there a typical review window for this entitlement? And is there anything I can do on my end to help the process move more smoothly? Thanks in advance!

KeyChain Sharing with App Extensions
Hi, We are trying to use Apple Security API for KeyChain Services. The motive is to store some sensitive data in the KeyChain. Our app has Network extensions enabled which share a common app group and we want to access the data stored in the KeyChain from the extensions as well. Specifically we were exploring the SecItemAdd, SecItemCopyMatching etc family of APIs. We tried a few methods: Using the common App Group : Specifying the common app group in the "kSecAttrAccessGroup" field of the KeyChain query, allowed us to have a shared keychains for different apps (targets) in the app group, but this did not work for extensionsEnabling the KeyChain Sharing capability : We enabled the KeyChain Sharing Ability in the extensions and the app target as well, giving a common KeyChain Access group. Specifying this in the kSecAttrAccessGroup field also did not work.We tried specifying "$AppIdentifier.KeyChainSharingGroup" in the kSecAttrAccessGroup field , but this did not work as wellThe error code which we get in all these 3 cases when trying to access the Keychain from the extension is error code 25291 (errSecNotAvailable). The Documentation says this error comes when "No Trust Results are available" and printing the error in xcode using the status says "No keychain is available. You may need to restart your computer". The online Documentation says that it is possible to share keychain with extensions, but by far we are unable to do it with the methods suggested.Do we need any special entitlement for this or is there something we are missing while using these APIs?If this is possible Is there any internal/open source wrapper for Keychain APIs, that we can use?We will really appreciate help in solving this issue! Thanks!

Help with dates in Foundation Model custom Tool
I have an app that stores lots of data that is of interest to the user. Analogies would be the Photos apps or the Health app. I'm trying to use the Foundation Models framework to allow users to surface information they find interesting using natural language, for example, "Tell me about the widgets from yesterday" or "Tell me about the widgets for the last 3 days". Specifically, I'm trying to get a date range passed down to the Tool so that I can pull the relevant widgets from the database in the call function. What is the right way to set up the Arguments to get at a date range?

Popovers are broken on Catalyst builds without portrait support
On macOS 15.2, any Mac Catalyst project that does not support portrait iPad orientation will no longer be able to successfully show the contents of any popover controls. This does not appear to be a problem on earlier versions of macOS and it only affects Mac Catalyst builds, not "Designed for iPad" builds. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Create a project that utilizes Mac Catalyst. Create a simple button that shows a popover with simple content. Remove Portrait as a supported orientation. Run the project on macOS 15.2 as a Mac Catalyst build. Note that the content inside the popover is not shown the popover is shown. Run the project as Designed for iPad. Note that the popover content shows correctly.

Description: I’m encountering an issue where the Apple Watch’s watchOS version is lower than the deployment target specified in my Xcode project. For example, my Watch device is running watchOS 10.6, but my app’s deployment target is set to watchOS 9.6 or 10.6, and Xcode shows an error stating: Error: “watchOS version doesn’t match the app’s deployment target.” Could someone clarify how to properly handle this version mismatch? Environment: Xcode 26 iPhone: iOS 18 Apple Watch: watchOS 10.6 Any guidance or best practices would be appreciated.

Issue with DeviceActivityMonitor - eventDidReachThreshold Callback Not Triggering Properly
Hello, I'm currently experiencing an issue with the DeviceActivityMonitor extension in my code, specifically with the eventDidReachThreshold callback. I'm hoping to get some insights into why this problem occurs and how to resolve it. Problem: Issue 1: The eventDidReachThreshold callback is not triggering as expected. It appears that the callback is not being invoked when the threshold is reached. Issue 2: After a few seconds, the eventDidReachThreshold callback starts to trigger multiple times. This unexpected behavior is causing problems in my code, as it results in incorrect actions being taken. iOS version: iOS16.7.2 and iOS17.1 Xcode version: 15.0.1 Swift version: 5.9 Here is my code to start the monitoring: func startMonitoring() { var startTime : DateComponents = DateComponents(hour: 0, minute: 0) let endTime : DateComponents = DateComponents(hour: 23, minute: 59) /// Creates the schedule for the activity, specifying the start and end times, and setting it to repeat. let schedule = DeviceActivitySchedule(intervalStart: startTime, intervalEnd: endTime, repeats: true, warningTime: nil) /// Defines the event that should trigger the encouragement. let event = DeviceActivityEvent(applications: socialActivitySelection.applicationTokens, categories: socialActivitySelection.categoryTokens, webDomains: socialActivitySelection.webDomainTokens, threshold: DateComponents(minute: 2)) let events: [DeviceActivityEvent.Name: DeviceActivityEvent] = [.socialScreenTimeEvent : event] do { activityCenter.stopMonitoring([.socialScreenTime]) /// Tries to start monitoring the activity using the specified schedule and events. try activityCenter.startMonitoring(.socialScreenTime, during: schedule, events: events) } catch { /// Prints an error message if the activity could not be started. print("Could not start monitoring: \(error)") } } If there are any known workarounds or potential solutions, please share them. Thank you for your help in resolving this problem.

App stuck in “Waiting for Review” for 40 days across multiple submissions (2.1.5) — expedited review approved but never starts
Hello, I would like to report a situation that appears to be outside the normal App Review process and may indicate a system issue or an unintended internal flag on my app. My app Vocheo (Bundle ID: com.vocheo) has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” for an unusually long period — a total of ~40 days since the first 2.0 submission on October 26. Across multiple submissions, the review has never meaningfully started. Here is a summary of what happened: Timeline Overview • First 2.0 submission: Oct 26 • Most recent submission: Dec 2 (version 2.1.5) • Total time stuck: ~40 days • Longest individual “Waiting for Review” period: 18 days • Another long period: 8 days • All withdrawals were done on the same day and resubmitted immediately — they did not resolve the issue. Only two submissions ever entered “In Review”, and both resulted in very fast, template-style rejections within minutes. After those, every new submission returned to weeks of “Waiting for Review” with no progress. Attempts to Resolve I have: • Contacted App Review Support several times • Received confirmation that expedited review was approved • But the review never actually started • Support responses indicate “re-queuing due to withdrawal”, but this explanation does not match the actual prolonged delays experienced At this point, support channels have not been able to provide any actionable information or resolution. Why I’m Posting Here Given: • The prolonged review delays far beyond normal processing times • Expedited review approval without any review starting • Multiple resubmissions stuck at “Waiting for Review” for weeks • No clear reason or guidance from support I am concerned this may not be a typical review delay, but rather: • A system-level issue, or • An unintentional internal flag preventing the review from starting I am posting here in hopes that someone from Apple may be able to help escalate or verify whether the app is correctly progressing through the review queue. App Information • App Name: Vocheo • Bundle ID: com.vocheo • Latest Submission: 2.1.5 (submitted Dec 2) • Platform: iOS • Status: “Waiting for Review” consistently for ~40 days Any assistance in determining whether this is a system error, or whether the app is blocked in the queue due to an internal issue, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

How to Constrain a TableView Cell Similarly to Apple's Settings App
Hello! I'm creating a settings page for my app and I want it to look as native as possible. I want to know if it's possible to add constraints that make the second label go to the bottom when the text size gets really large (see Picture1) instead of having to force it to be on the right (see Picture 2). I've left my constraint code for this cell down below, too. I'm still learning constraints and best practices, so if there's any feedback, I'd love to hear it. Thank you! Picture 1 Picture 2 - (void) setConstraints { [NSLayoutConstraint activateConstraints:@[ // Cell Title Label [self.themeColorLabel.leadingAnchor constraintEqualToAnchor:self.contentView.layoutMarginsGuide.leadingAnchor], [self.themeColorLabel.trailingAnchor constraintEqualToAnchor:self.contentView.layoutMarginsGuide.trailingAnchor], [self.themeColorLabel.topAnchor constraintEqualToAnchor: self.contentView.layoutMarginsGuide.topAnchor], [self.themeColorLabel.bottomAnchor constraintEqualToAnchor: self.contentView.layoutMarginsGuide.bottomAnchor], // Selected Theme Color Label [self.selectedColorLabel.trailingAnchor constraintEqualToAnchor: self.contentView.layoutMarginsGuide.trailingAnchor], [self.selectedColorLabel.topAnchor constraintEqualToAnchor: self.contentView.layoutMarginsGuide.topAnchor], [self.selectedColorLabel.bottomAnchor constraintEqualToAnchor: self.contentView.layoutMarginsGuide.bottomAnchor], ]]; }

Testing Age Assurance in Sandbox Failed
According to Apple's documentation at https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/testing-age-assurance-in-sandbox?language=objc, the testing steps and expected responses are outlined as follows: Test app consent revocation To test the notification when a parent or guardian revokes access to your app on behalf of their child, follow these steps: Start with a Sandbox account. From the Age Assurance settings, tap Revoke App Consent. Enter your app’s Bundle ID (for example, com.example.bundle). Tap Revoke Consent to simulate the revocation. Confirm that the system displays “Notification Triggered” with the message “A notification will be sent to the developer server soon.” I followed the steps exactly as described above, but during the fifth step, instead of seeing the prompt "A notification will be sent to the developer server soon," a pop-up dialog with only a confirmation button appeared. After clicking it, there was no further response, and our server did not receive any notification (neither from the Sandbox nor the Production environment).

Tracking Campaigns (Downloads) with Smart App Banners
Hello, I've got Smart App Banner set up on my website. However, I want to be able to measure the traffic coming from this banner to the app store / app (i.e. measure impressions/downloads). Apple documentation (https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/view-app-analytics/manage-campaigns/) says you can set up a campaign link and use it in the Smart Banner to track those who download / open the app store page using your smart banner (so that we can get attribution). However, there is no documentation at all in terms of how this should be added to the tag when implementing a Smart App Banner. I've tried so many different variations and none have tracked downloads. This includes a structure based on an example taken from WWDC from a few years back which also did not work. I would appreciate any help!

Waiting for Review” for 40+ Days After Resubmission (App ID: 6753948674))
Hello everyone, I am experiencing an unusually long review delay with my app Avanta (App ID: 6753948874) and would like to request guidance or escalation support if possible. 📌 Timeline & Issue Summary Our first submission was made on October 14, 2025. The app was initially reviewed and rejected once due to screenshot issues (nothing related to functionality or guideline violations). We immediately corrected the screenshots and resubmitted on November 3, 2025. Since then, the build has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” for more than 25 days, and we have received no further updates, clarifications, or review activity in App Store Connect. 📌 Why I’m Concerned This delay is far beyond normal review processing times (typically 24–72 hours). Our app has no unresolved guideline issues — only screenshots were requested once, and the updated assets are fully compliant. The lack of any movement (no “In Review”, no communication) makes me unsure whether the submission is stuck due to a technical/system error. 📌 What We Have Already Tried Double-checked all metadata, screenshots, and compliance items. Verified export compliance and agreements. Contacted Apple support through App Store Connect → no response yet. Tried cancelling/resubmitting earlier versions, but the issue persists. 📌 Request Could someone from the App Review team please look into whether this submission is stuck? We would sincerely appreciate guidance or escalation if necessary, as we have been waiting over 45 days since the first submission and 25+ days since the last resubmission. We respect the review process and understand high workload periods, but this delay appears to be a technical issue rather than a standard queue wait. Thank you in advance for any support or clarification you can provide. Kind regards, Taha

iOS26 CarPlay not optimized for Subaru 11.6 inch vertical in infotainment screen
The newest iOS 26 CarPlay upgrade seems more like a downgrade with vehicles from Subaru with the 11.6 inch vertical infotainment display. Such a big screen, but only one widget shows at a time additionally, prior to this iOS update we had three lines of apps on the main page now only two. also to be noted album art size on all music streaming and podcast apps is extremely small about half the size of what it originally was prior to this update yes, I tried turning on and off the screen optimization setting and CarPlay. It did not do anything.

Permission error occurs when I use setDefaultApplication(at:toOpen:completion:)
I'd like to set my macOS app written in Swift as default app when opening .mp4 file. I think I can do it with setDefaultApplication(at:toOpen:completion:). https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appkit/nsworkspace/3753002-setdefaultapplication However, permission error occurs when I use it. The error is: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=256 "The file couldn’t be opened." UserInfo={NSUnderlyingError=0x6000031d0150 {Error Domain=NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code=-54 "permErr: permissions error (on file open)"}} I tried to give my app full-disk access, but it didn't work. I also tried to use setDefaultApplication(at:toOpenFileAt:completion:), then it works with no error, but it effects on only one file. What I want to do is to set my app as default app of all .mp4 files. How do I achieve this? My code is like below: let bundleUrl = Bundle.main.bundleURL NSWorkspace.shared.setDefaultApplication(at: bundleUrl, toOpen: .mpeg4Movie) { error in print(error) } Thank you.

macOS 26.1 Tahoe on ARM: FinderSync extension does not work
When running the currently latest version of macOS (26.1) on a machine with ARM CPU (I could not reproduce the issue with Intel-Based machines) Finder Sync extensions do not work any more in general. Steps to reproduce the problem: In Xcode create a new macOS App project with default settings (in my case I chose XIB for the UI and Objective-C as language, and disabled testing, but that should not make any difference) In Xcode add a new target / "Finder Sync Extension" to the project with default settings, this adds a new Finder Sync Extension with example code to the app. Run the application and open Finder and navigate to "/Users/Shared/MySyncExtension Documents" In the system settings ("Login Items & Extensions") enable the extension (Listed as "File Provider"). On systems where it is working, in the context menu of that folder an entry "Example Menu Item" will appear. On systems where it does not work it is missing. Some findings: Adding the *.appex with "pluginkit -a" registers the extension as expected, it is then visible in the system settings, removing it with "pluginkit -r" is also reflected in the system settings. "pluginkit -m -i " returns the extension on systems where it is working (assuming it is registered while this command is executed), on systems wehre it is not working, nothing is returned, regardless of the registration state. When enabling the extension in the system settings nothing more happens, there is no process started for the extension (unlike as on systems where it is working), and thus no context menu entries and no badges are displayed in Finder. Restarting Finder or the system does not help. Any ideas what I could be missing here?
