Can't find server for API Endpoint that works.
Hi, I am making a AI-Powered app that makes api requests to the openai API. However, for security, I set up a vercel backend that handles the API calls securely, while my frontend makes a call to my vercel-hosted https endpoint. Interestingly, whenever I try to make that call on my device, an iPhone, I get this error: Task <91AE4DE0-2845-4348-89B4-D3DD1CF51B65>.<10> finished with error [-1003] Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1003 "A server with the specified hostname could not be found." UserInfo={_kCFStreamErrorCodeKey=-72000, NSUnderlyingError=0x1435783f0 {Error Domain=kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork Code=-1003 "(null)" UserInfo={_kCFStreamErrorDomainKey=10, _kCFStreamErrorCodeKey=-72000, _NSURLErrorNWResolutionReportKey=Resolved 0 endpoints in 3ms using unknown from query, _NSURLErrorNWPathKey=satisfied (Path is satisfied), interface: pdp_ip0[lte], ipv4, ipv6, dns, expensive, uses cell}}, _NSURLErrorFailingURLSessionTaskErrorKey=LocalDataTask <91AE4DE0-2845-4348-89B4-D3DD1CF51B65>.<10>, _NSURLErrorRelatedURLSessionTaskErrorKey=( "LocalDataTask <91AE4DE0-2845-4348-89B4-D3DD1CF51B65>.<10>" ), NSLocalizedDescription=A server with the specified hostname could not be found., NSErrorFailingURLStringKey=https://[my endpoint], NSErrorFailingURLKey=https://[my endpoint], _kCFStreamErrorDomainKey=10} I'm completely stuck because when I directly make https requests to other api's like openai's endpoint, without the proxy, it finds the server completely fine. Running my endpoint on terminal with curl also works as intended, as I see api key usages. But for some reason, on my project, it does not work. I've looked through almost every single post I could find online, but a lot all of the solutions are outdated and unhelpful. I'm willing to schedule a call, meeting, whatever to resolve this issue and get help more in depth as well.

CoreAudio server plugin: updating kAudioStreamPropertyAvailablePhysicalFormats
Hi, our CoreAudio server plugin supports different clock sources. A switch might result in a change of the selectable sample rates (and other settings). On a clock source switch the plugin reconfigures the set of available kAudioStreamPropertyAvailablePhysicalFormats and announces the change via AudioServerPlugInHostInterface::PropertiesChanged(). However at least the Audio MIDI Setup seems to ignore to update it's UI. The changes are first reflected after selecting another device and re-selecting the device of interest. (Latest macOS, M4 macMini) Is this a bug? Or is our CoreAudio server plugin required to indicate the change in the list of available audio formats differently? Thanks!

Using Observation class for multiple SwiftData Models
Greetings i have an app that uses three different SwiftData models and i want to know what is the best way to use the them accross the app. I though a centralized behaviour and i want to know if it a correct approach.First let's suppose that the first view of the app will load the three models using the @Enviroment that work with @Observation. Then to other views that add data to the swiftModels again with the @Environment. Another View that will use the swiftData models with graph and datas for average and min and max.Is this a corrent way? or i should use @Query in every view that i want and ModelContext when i add the data. @Observable class CentralizedDataModels { var firstDataModel: [FirstDataModel] = [] var secondDataModel: [SecondDataModel] = [] var thirdDataModel: [ThirdDataModel] = [] let context: ModelContext init(context:ModelContext) { self.context = context } }

Core Data complaining about store being opened without persistent history tracking... but I don't think that it has been
Since running on iOS 14b1, I'm getting this in my log (I have Core Data logging enabled): error: Store opened without NSPersistentHistoryTrackingKey but previously had been opened with NSPersistentHistoryTrackingKey - Forcing into Read Only mode store at 'file:///private/var/mobile/Containers/Shared/AppGroup/415B75A6-92C3-45FE-BE13-7D48D35909AF/StoreFile.sqlite' As far as I can tell, it's impossible to open my store without that key set - it's in the init() of my NSPersistentContainer subclass, before anyone calls it to load stores. Any ideas?

NEHotspotHelper API
For our outdoor power supply company that builds public WiFi networks at camping sites, we want to implement the following features in our app: Scan surrounding WiFi networks When detecting specific public WiFi SSIDs, provide users with corresponding passwords Automatically connect to those WiFi networks Regarding the NEHotspotHelper API permission application, when I clicked on https://developer.apple.com/contact/request/network-extension, it redirected me to https://developer.apple.com/unauthorized/. I'm not sure where to properly apply for this permission now.

Apple Pay: Renewal of Domains fails and get redirected to main page without errors
Hello, we are trying to extend the dates of verified domains following the docs of https://developer.apple.com/documentation/applepayontheweb/maintaining-your-environment#Renew-Your-Domain-Verification and configured the server following https://developer.apple.com/documentation/ApplePayontheWeb/setting-up-your-server we've download the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt and update them on their respective locations, click 'ok' button and we get redirected to the main page of the merchant certificate, but the expiration dates have not been extended, we can see on our web crawler that Apple Requested the file and it return a 200. No popup errors are shown, no console developer error we only get redirected to the merchant certificate information page.

iCloud Drive changes in iOS 18.4 and later break stated API
The NSMetadataUbiquitousItemDownloadingStatusKey indicates the status of a ubiquitous (iCloud Drive) file. A key value of NSMetadataUbiquitousItemDownloadingStatusDownloaded is defined as indicating there is a local version of this file available. The most current version will get downloaded as soon as possible . However this no longer occurs since iOS 18.4. A ubiquitous file may remain in the NSMetadataUbiquitousItemDownloadingStatusDownloaded state for an indefinite period. There is a workaround: call [NSFileManager startDownloadingUbiquitousItemAtURL: error:] however this shouldn't be necessary, and introduces delays over the previous behaviour. Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Is this a permanent change? FB17662379

Inquiry regarding StoreKit Messages for Free Trial Conversion and Recurring Payment Consent in South Korea
Dear Apple Developer Support, Our iOS application offers subscriptions with a free trial period. We understand that in South Korea, due to local subscription regulations, users must explicitly provide consent for recurring payments before the subscription converts from a free trial to a paid period. We have the following questions regarding how StoreKit handles this scenario: When a free trial is about to convert to a paid subscription for a user in South Korea, does StoreKit send a StoreKit.Message (or SKStorefront.Message) to the application to obtain the required consent for recurring payments? If such a message is sent, would the Reason for this message be StoreKit.Message.Reason.priceIncreaseConsent, or would it be another specific reason related to initial recurring payment consent after a trial? If our application receives such a message and we choose to defer its display, what is the maximum recommended or permissible deferral period? Is it possible to save the data of a received StoreKit.Message and display it to the user at a later time, for instance, after the application has been closed and subsequently reopened? Are there any best practices or limitations regarding this? We need this information to ensure our application correctly handles these consent requirements in compliance with South Korean policies and provides a smooth user experience. Thank you for your guidance.

File Provider Extension Sandbox Prevents Shared Library from having write access to temporary storage or App Group.
I'm not sure if I have found a bug with iOS or if it's just unexpected behavior with my implementation. I have a gomobile library that sets up a local http server. It needs to be able to write to temporary storage. If I use the shared library from my main apps process it can write to the file manager.default temporary storage. while Xcode is running a debug session I can use that same process from my file provider replicated extension and it works fine. However I realized running my file provider extension where it starts the gomobile shared library directly instead of first from my app the library fails to write anything to the file provider manager default temporary storage or the file provider manager for my file provider domain temporary storage or even the app group library. it is odd, because I have a swift URL extension that confirms the temporary storage can be written to from swift. I have monitored console logs for fileproviderd, my file extension and have tried writing data to a log file. nothing seems to catch exactly what causes the file provider extension to crash and restart. I also cannot keep the shared gomobile server running in the background on iOS even if I were to force the user to "authenticate" with the main app first. Im pretty sure the file provider extension needs to run the gomobile library for it to work right. I'm wondering if something may be wrong with the iOS sandbox that could be preventing the file provider extension to let a c based gomobile shared library from accessing the temporary storage. Any guidance for further things to try would be greatly appreciated. I have tried every avenue I can think of. I cannot run just the appex itself on either my m4 pro MacBook or my iPhone so attaching the debugger has been tricky and I don't see much in the way of useful logs in console app either just a swarm of noise. Im fairly confident it's an issue to writing to temporary storage from the gomobile c library and not much else. App was working great on macOS designed for iPad which just seemed rather ironic that an iOS code base runs better on macOS than it was able to on my iPhone 16 pro max. Like im all for the sandbox I just wish it didn't treat c level gomobile libraries different than it treats the swift code itself.

Live Caller ID Lookup Implementation
Hello I'm working on Live Caller ID Lookup implementation on my own pet-project, as I understood I need to create app and extension for this app. I also created test PIR-service. I did configure serviceURL, tokenIssuerURL and userTierToken. In My app I implemented following code Task { if LiveCallerIDLookupManager.shared.status(forExtensionWithIdentifier: "some-extension") == .disabled { `//` Show an alert. print("LiveCallerIDLookupManager is disabled") } do { // Open Settings. try await LiveCallerIDLookupManager.shared.openSettings() } catch { } It does open Call settings, but I don't understand what should I do next.

What *is* the 12 hour energy impact?
Clearly not percentage, but the units don't seem to be specified... The real problem we have right now is that, with macOS 15.5, our suite gets a huge amount of "energy impact" points, even though diving into it, it doesn't seem to do that. The most telling example I have of that is: I ran each of our daemons from Terminal, unplugged my laptop, closed the lid, and let it stay there for 8 or 9 hours. When I woke it back up, Activity Monitor claimed it had 2,000 units or so, but after opening all of the disclosure triangles, none of the processes (including the hand-started daemons) used anything close to that. Also, the battery had almost no drain on it. We're getting complaints about this, so I'm trying to figure out what, exactly is going on, but I never looked at the power stuff internally so I don't know how to read the diagnostic files.

Failed to get productIdentifier from StoreKit
I am currently developing an auto-renewal subscription in-app purchase for my app. Currently, the subscription items have already been approved in appStoreConnect, and the .store file is synced with appStoreConnect, so the subscription items are displayed well and the test is also progressing well. However, when I build without using the .store file to perform sandbox testing, the subscription items do not appear and response.invalidProductIdentifiers appears. Is there anything I need to do additionally so that the subscription items can appear in response.products? ps. The bank account item in the contract is in 'processing' status, and the paid app contract status is 'waiting for user information'.
