Documentation of parameters to enable Apple Maps EV routing
Hi, I'm building an aftermarket solution to enable Apple Maps to support EV routing for any EV. I am going through the documentation and found some gaps - does anyone know how the following properties work? StoreKitSubscriptionView presents an unfriendly message when network is unavailable
I have a rather simple StoreKitSubscriptionView for my app's single subscription. Question: Am I expected to write code to handle lack of network connectivity? When I run the app on development device, not using the local StoreKit configuration but rather the real app store, if the network is not available I get a not-user-friendly error message instead of the normal SubscriptionStoreView content. I'm uncertain if end-users actually see this. Maybe they see a more appropriate "Cannot connect to App Store, try later" message? Maybe I am supposed to check for network and not present the view if it is not available. I don't recall any mention of this in the WWDC video but I guess I should check again. Ideas anyone?

Can users create their own subscription plans?
I'm considering developing an app where users can create their own subscription plans by freely setting their prices, similar to YouTube's membership feature. I understand that in-app purchases must be used to unlock features within the app. With that in mind, I searched for APIs to enable this functionality but couldn't find relevant information. When I contacted Apple directly, they mentioned that they couldn't provide specific answers unless the app is under review. If anyone has knowledge about the following points, I would greatly appreciate your response: Is it possible to implement a feature similar to YouTube's membership using in-app purchase APIs? If it's not feasible with in-app purchases, is it allowed to use external payment services like Stripe?

Apple Healthkit data usage
I want to use the Apple Healthkit data to recommend personalised insurance. Is this allowed? As I have read in the documentation that the Apple Healthkit data can only be used for fitness and health purposes. Anyone knows what is meant / scope of "fitness and health purposes"? Will personalised insurance as per health data be allowed under this category?

Users occasionally experience system unresponsiveness and unexpected black screen restarts during meetings in our app
We have received user reports indicating that, while using our app for meetings, they occasionally encounter system unresponsiveness, ultimately leading to an unexpected black screen and system restart. Our app's internal logs show normal operation during these incidents. To assist in diagnosing the issue, we have collected system logs (WindowServer.ips) from affected users. We would appreciate your assistance in analyzing these logs to help identify the root cause of the problem. Thank you for your support and assistance.

App Store Review always got 4.3 for my apps
I created an app and submitted to app store for review and got a rejection with "4.3(a) - Design - Spam". This one was created for brand new, and I didn't find any similar apps in App store. I searched in this forum but am not sure if it is because I used flutter to build my app? How could I get a bit more specific detail why it got rejected? Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. Next Steps Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality.

Intermittent SSL issue
Hi Team, We are getting below error when we try to connect our REST APIs from our device. Our application is enterprise application and its connecting all backend calls via MobileIron Secure Tunnel(VPN). We are not encountering this error when we try to connect backend system from Simulator on VPN connected machine. We are calling 13 APIs but we are getting below error intermittently for different APIs i.e each time we are facing this issue for different APIs. We connected with our Helpdesk team to troubleshoot the error and they checked the MobileIron VPN firewall and there is no log We configured below things Allow Arbitrary Loads - True <key>NSExceptionMinimumTLSVersion</key> <string>TLSv1.2</string> We are using Alamofire library to connect backend. We disabled all site validation and we configured minTLSVersion 1.2. CarPlay Not Working Properly
I just purchased a new 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid sedan with the highest trim package. The staff at the dealership set CarPlay up to my iPhone 16 Pro, and all was operating perfectly. Then, last week, I started noticing random connectivity problems with it (ie: no sound from my audio apps, “not connected” being displayed on the dashboard displa, etc.) I tried to think of what had changed with my setup, and the only change was that I updated to the latest iOS update 18.2 I scheduled a service appointment with the Honda dealer in hopes that Apple and Honda can confirm a fix for this issue. I’ll try to attach an image from my car’s dashboard display as an example of an error message that isn’t resolved.

Screen-time in Device Activity Report Extension vs In Phone Settings
Am showing daily screen-time of a user in my app in Device Activity Report Extension. The only way to get that is to sum up all the activityDuration of apps/categories/domains. But it differs a lot from phone's settings screen-time, why? I have debugged in details and counted manually the time spent on each app and it turned out that the calculation is appearing correctly in my app but Phone settings showing quite less time on top (Day).

Unable to install an app extension when running it for debugging
I've got an app with several app extensions (call extension, action extension, notification service extension, message filtering extension, notification content extension). If I need to interactively debug these then I can select the scheme and run the extension within Xcode for all of them except for the notification content extension, with that I get an error dialog summary saying: Failed to install the app on the device / The provided item to be installed is not of a type that CoreDevice recognizes. Which when expanded has the blumpf posted below. Why can I not run the notification content extension, when I can run any other type of app extension? Failed to install the app on the device. Message Filter Extension and multiple servers
In the documentation for a Message Filter Extension it states: If you have servers that can help your app extension determine how to handle a message, you must add the Associated Domains capability to your Xcode project and specify those domains. (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/sms_and_call_reporting/sms_and_mms_message_filtering/creating_a_message_filter_app_extension) The words servers and domains are in the plural. If it's possible to specify multiple servers/domains for a Message Filter Extension then how is that done? There's no documentation nor reference for that. If multiple domains can be added to the info.plist then what is the iOS behavior in that case? Can the extension supply/change which domain is used at run time?

New apple pay in PC chrome dosn't work with iOS 18
I've encountered an issue with Apple Pay in PC Chrome with iOS 18. Below is the scenario and code for reference: Issue Scenario: A button is clicked to initiate the Apple Pay process. A QR code window pops up, which I scan with my phone. As soon as the session is established, the window closes immediately, not allowing the user to select a payment card. No errors appear in the console. Gift Subscription and Split Payment
I am the Lead iOS Developer for The Incc, an upcoming social networking application. The platform offers subscriptions that grant users access to premium content, primarily digital magazines showcasing diverse cultures, alongside standard social media features and additional unique functionalities. I am exploring two specific use cases for our subscription model. Promo Codes with Split Payments: We plan to collaborate with the our influencers (referred to as Mover Shakers) by providing them with promo codes for users to purchase subscriptions. For such purchases, we aim to implement a revenue split model, allocating 10% to the influencer and the remainder to us after Apple’s fees. Gifting Subscriptions: We also wish to enable users to gift subscriptions to others within the app. I understand that the Apple Subscription Service does not natively support these features. What other options do we have to achieve this that are also not against the Apple's guidelines.

How to Archive iMessages via API with User Authorization Workflow?
I’m working on a solution to archive iMessages by using an API or similar mechanism. Here’s the desired workflow: The user provides their phone number to initiate the archiving process. They receive a text message with a URL link. Clicking on the link authorizes the archiving of their iMessages. Once authorized, their text messages are archived. So far, I’ve researched third-party services and APIs but haven’t found any that offer this capability directly for iMessages. Questions: Are there any APIs or frameworks (Apple or third-party) that support accessing and archiving iMessages programmatically?

Not able to log proc ID in controlFilter
I was trying to log the flow description using control filter and data filter. But when I am trying to log the proc ID in control filter, it is always 0, but in data filter, it logs some value. Same goes with the eproc ID. I want to use the flow description data in some other target so I will be sending the data using sockets and I cannot share data from data filter due to its restrictions and control filter isn't providing the proc ID. What should I do?

I would like to share my specific use case and seek your guidance on implementing it effectively within iOS: We are developing an iOS application that may run simultaneously on multiple devices near each other. The core functionality involves continuous Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning to detect peripherals (beacons) in the range of a central device. The scanning needs to function seamlessly across the following states: • Foreground • Background • Locked mode (when the device is locked) Here are the detailed requirements: 1. Scanning Behavior: • The central device should continuously scan for nearby BLE peripherals (beacons). • If a new peripheral comes into range, the application should capture its data, including: • Device Name • MAC Address • Payload Data • RSSI (Signal Strength) 2. Peripheral Out-of-Range Handling: • If a detected peripheral (beacon) moves out of range, it should automatically be removed from the populated list displayed on the app. 3. Peripheral Reappearance: • If a peripheral (beacon) that moved out of range comes back into range, the application should detect it again and repopulate the list with updated data seamlessly. 4. Application State: • This behavior (scanning, detection, and updating) should work regardless of the app’s state: • Foreground • Background • Device Locked FYI, we are using Custom Ruuvi beacons Given the above requirements, I would greatly appreciate any guidance, suggestions, or best practices to implement this use case efficiently while adhering to iOS background execution and Bluetooth limitations.
