Multiseat Subscriptions: Pricing Flexibility and Enterprise Implementation
I have questions about pricing flexibility and technical implementation. In WWDC26 Session 391, you introduced up to five volume pricing bands that allow developers to offer lower per-seat subscription prices as organizations purchase more seats. For example: 1–20 seats: $39.99/month per seat 21–40 seats: $29.99/month per seat 41+ seats: $19.99/month per seat Volume purchasing and volume discounting provide different benefits. Volume purchasing makes it easier for organizations to buy, deploy, and manage subscriptions. This is valuable independently of discounts. Consider a productivity application deployed to 10,000 employees. Unlike AI services that charge separately for tokens or usage credits, an application offering unlimited, unmetered usage receives no additional revenue beyond its subscription fees. Supporting 10,000 deployments also introduces ongoing responsibilities. Major updates, new capabilities, and performance improvements may require additional testing, deployment coordination, compatibility checks, and technical support. Enterprise customers often have greater requirements for reliability, timely updates, and deployment management. Reducing the fixed subscription price per seat does not reduce these responsibilities or account for the additional value delivered across an organization. My questions for the StoreKit team: Business pricing: Can developers create a separate business subscription with a higher base price than their consumer offering, such as $39.99/month for individuals and $59.99/month per business seat, with independent volume pricing bands? Business-only distribution: Can this subscription be offered exclusively through Apple Business while maintaining the existing consumer subscription? Business features in the same app: Can StoreKit 2 identify whether a user has an individual subscription or an organization-assigned seat, allowing developers to unlock additional business capabilities within the same app binary? Onboarding and deployment: What is the recommended approach for adapting onboarding, subscription unlocking, and access management for organization-assigned users? Are there specific considerations for MDM deployment and managed app configurations? Implementation resources: Are there technical documentation or sample projects covering multiseat purchases, entitlement verification, seat reassignment, subscription changes, and ongoing management after release? The primary opportunity is simplifying organizational purchasing and deployment, while allowing developers to deliver additional business value and price subscriptions according to the ongoing requirements of supporting organizations at scale—not simply discounting additional seats. I’d appreciate clarification on the recommended pricing configuration and StoreKit 2 implementation. Thank you. REF: October 22 Announcement — Offer your subscriptions to businesses and schools

Virtual Action Button - When Hardware Button Unavailable
It would be great for accessibility and productivity for hardware like iPhone Duo that do not have an action button to include a setting to enable a "VIRTUAL" action button that can appear on screen with the same capability. And connecting it to Siri setting control to "TURN ON ACTION BUTTON" or "SHOW VIRTUAL ACTION BUTTON". FOR ACCESSIBILITY and for feature parity for newer devices where physical button is not present. Thank you

Preparing for Battery and Performance Optimization Lab
Hello Apple Team, I’ll be attending the Battery and Performance Optimization Lab this Thursday, and I’d like to prepare as thoroughly as possible to get the most value from the session. I’m particularly interested in understanding what I can do beforehand to identify optimization opportunities in my app and arrive with useful performance measurements and actionable questions. I would appreciate your guidance on a few areas: Xcode configuration: Are there specific build settings, diagnostic options, profiling configurations, or performance-related settings I should enable or review before the lab? Performance measurement: Which Instruments templates, metrics, or profiling workflows would you recommend using beforehand to establish a meaningful baseline for CPU usage, memory, energy consumption, and battery efficiency? Preparation: What measurements, diagnostic reports, or reproducible test scenarios would be most useful to bring so we can spend more time investigating optimization opportunities rather than establishing a baseline? Technical resources: Are there specific WWDC sessions, documentation, or technical concepts you recommend reviewing to better understand how iOS manages energy consumption, background execution, and performance? Prioritization: What are the most important things developers should understand before attending this lab, particularly when optimizing an application that performs continuous on-device processing and audio playback? iPhone Duo testing: Will the engineering team have iPhone Duo demonstration or development units available during the lab for testing and profiling applications on actual hardware? My app includes Duo-specific multitasking and display adaptations, and I’d particularly value the opportunity to evaluate performance, battery efficiency, and resource usage on the device. My goal is to arrive with a well-profiled application, a clear understanding of its current performance characteristics, and enough preparation to make the session as technically productive as possible. Thank you for your guidance. I’m looking forward to learning from the team on Thursday!

Expedite Review of Pending In-App Event Assets for a Duo Update?
Is there a process or Apple contact for requesting expedited review of In-App Event assets? My major update with iPhone Duo support is already approved and live, but the associated In-App Event and creative assets are still pending review. I know it’s the weekend, but I’m hoping to have the event live by Tuesday, October 27, at 9 AM PDT, to coincide with the launch. Thank you so much!

Time-Sensitive: iPhone Duo Launch — Design Guidance for App Store Featuring Assets and Multitasking Presentation
Hello Apple Design Team, I’m an independent AI engineer with a strong background in product design, preparing to bring a new AI-powered application to market alongside a major iOS update featuring native support for iPhone Duo. With launch approaching, I’m looking for guidance on how developers should visually communicate Duo-specific experiences, particularly when preparing App Store screenshots, promotional assets, and featuring nominations. Specifically, are there examples, templates, or recommended approaches for presenting: Multitasking: Two* applications working side by side. Paired apps: Demonstrating workflows between complementary applications. Folded states: Communicating how an application adapts to different device configurations. Screenshot composition: Are larger developers using headlines, explanatory text, and custom layouts within their Duo screenshots, or are they primarily submitting unmodified simulator captures and device renders? App Store featuring: What types of visual assets best communicate Duo-specific functionality in featuring nominations? As an independent developer, I have very few public references for how larger development teams are preparing their launch materials. I’m particularly interested in understanding what Apple Design considers a strong visual demonstration of Duo integration, beyond simply showing an application running on the device. For example, should screenshots emphasize the actual interface and system multitasking experience, or is it appropriate to incorporate marketing headlines and supporting visual elements to explain the workflow? Are there recommended assets, design guidelines, templates, or examples that independent developers can reference before submitting their updates and featuring nominations? This is time-sensitive given the upcoming launch and associated submission deadlines. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for supporting the independent developer community.

Cannot find iPhone Duo simulator in Device Hub
I’m preparing my existing App Store app for iOS 27 and want to test interface resizability on iPhone Duo. I cannot find the iPhone Duo simulator in Device Hub. Is it currently available? If so, what Xcode version/runtime is required and how do I add it? Thanks! I have the latest Xcode 27 from downloads section and Device Hub 27. Where is 27.1 download?

Can a Notes note be dragged into another app on iPhone Duo?
I’m adding drag-and-drop support to my app for multitasking on iPhone Duo. My app supports text/note content. Currently, a user can move content from Apple Notes into my app using Share or Copy/Paste. ** Questions** Can a note from the Notes app be dragged directly into another app during multitasking, similar to dragging a photo? If so, what content type does Notes provide through the drag-and-drop session? For example, is the note exposed as plain text (public.plain-text / UTType.plainText), rich text, or another transferable type? My goal is for the user to drag a note from Notes into my app and have it behave essentially like Copy → Paste, without requiring the Share sheet. Thank you.

Scanning multiple NFC tags in a row without restarting the session each time?
I'm building an accessibility feature where a user walks around and taps NFC tags to trigger updates in the app (e.g., wayfinding/context info). I want a "Live Mode" toggle that keeps the app listening for NFC reads continuously while it's on, processing each tag as it's scanned, rather than one-shot read-and-dismiss. Is there a Core NFC API or session configuration that supports this kind of continuous/persistent listening, or does every read still require invalidating and restarting the session afterward? Currently: I have high-performant reads working reliably with passive NDEF/tag detection. What I'm trying to figure out: Recommended approach — should I keep a single long-lived NFCReaderSession alive and handle repeated reads within it, or restart a new session immediately after each read? VoiceOver / accessibility — how does the system NFC sheet interact with VoiceOver, especially if the session is restarting frequently while the user is mid-walk? Session timeout and restart handling — what's the best way to detect and recover from a session timing out or invalidating unexpectedly, without the user noticing a gap in "Live Mode"? Battery/radio use — are there known concerns with keeping NFC polling active over an extended period (minutes, not seconds)? Thank you.
