Can an app launch automatically after watchOS restarts?
Regarding App Update Synchronization During Workout Mode: My watchOS app has workout mode enabled. When I update the app from the App Store on my iPhone while a workout session is active on my Apple Watch, the update does not sync to the watch. Why does this happen, and when can I expect the watch app to be updated? Regarding Automatic App Launch After a Prolonged Shutdown: I would like my watchOS app to launch automatically on my Apple Watch after it has been powered off for an extended period and then turned back on. Is this functionality possible to implement? If not, please provide a definitive answer regarding this capability.

TestFlight Internal Testers Not Receiving Build Invitations After Processing Completed
Hi everyone, I'm experiencing an issue with TestFlight where internal testers are not receiving build invitations, even though the builds have successfully completed processing in App Store Connect. Builds Status: • Multiple builds (Build 10, 11, 12) show "Ready to Submit" status in App Store Connect • Build 9 is in "Waiting for Review" status • All builds show "2 Invites" sent • However, the new builds (9, 10, 11, 12) are not appearing in TestFlight for the internal testing group Internal Testing Group: • Group name: "Test" (Internal Group) • 2 Testers configured • 7 Builds total in the group • The group shows builds 1.0 (2) through 1.0 (8) as "Testing" status • New builds (9, 10, 11, 12) are missing from TestFlight What I've Tried: Manually adding the internal group to the new builds using the "Add Group" dialog(the Add button is inactive) The system shows "2 Invites" sent in App Store Connect Checked TestFlight app on testers' devices - no new builds visible Waited more than 1 hour after builds completed processing Expected Behavior When adding an internal testing group to a build in App Store Connect, testers should: Receive push notifications about the new build See the new build available in their TestFlight app Be able to install and test the build immediately Actual Behavior • App Store Connect shows invitations were sent (2 invites) • TestFlight does not show the new builds (9, 10, 11, 12) • Internal testers have not received any notifications • Only older builds (2-8) are visible in TestFlight Additional Context • This issue started occurring today (January 15, 2026) • Yesterday, I experienced extended build processing times (builds stuck in "Processing" for several hours), which appears to have been a widespread issue affecting multiple developers • Once processing completed, the builds moved to "Ready to Submit" status normally • The internal testing group worked fine for previous builds (2-8) Questions Has anyone else experienced this issue with TestFlight internal testing today? Is there a known delay between adding a group in App Store Connect and builds appearing in TestFlight? Could this be related to the processing delays that occurred yesterday? Is there a way to manually trigger the invitation/notification system? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is blocking our internal testing workflow. Thanks in advance!

Xcode Cloud Export Archive Fails with Xcode 26.2 RC
Export archive step fails in Xcode Cloud when using Xcode 26.2 (17C48) RC. The same project exports successfully when switching back to Xcode 26.1 in Xcode Cloud workflow settings. ShazamKit Background Operation Broken on iOS 18 - SHManagedSession Stops Working After ~20 Seconds
Your draft looks great! Here's a refined version with the iOS 17 comparison emphasized and slightly better flow: Hi Apple Engineers and fellow developers, I'm experiencing a critical regression with ShazamKit's background operation on iOS 18. ShazamKit's SHManagedSession stops identifying songs in the background after approximately 20 seconds on iOS 18, while the exact same code works perfectly on iOS 17. The behavior is consistent: the app works perfectly in the foreground, but when backgrounded or device is locked, it initially works for about 20 seconds then stops identifying new songs. The microphone indicator remains active suggesting audio access is maintained, but ShazamKit doesn't send identified songs in the background until you open the app again. Detection immediately resumes when bringing the app to foreground. My technical setup uses SHManagedSession for continuous matching with background modes properly configured in Info.plist including audio mode, and Background App Refresh enabled. I've tested this on physical devices running iOS 18.0 through 18.5 with the same results across all versions. The exact same code running on iOS 17 devices works flawlessly in the background. To reproduce: initialize SHManagedSession and start matching, begin song identification in foreground, background the app or lock device, play different songs which are initially detected for about 20 seconds, then after the timeout period new songs are no longer identified until you bring the app to foreground. This regression has impacted my production app as users who rely on continuous background music identification are experiencing a broken feature. I submitted this as Feedback ID FB15255903 last September with no solution so far. I've created a minimal demo project that reproduces this issue: https://github.com/tfmart/ShazamKitBackground Has anyone else experienced this ShazamKit background regression on iOS 18? Are there any known workarounds or alternative approaches? Given the time this issue has persisted, could we please get acknowledgment of this regression, expected timeline for a fix, or any recommended workarounds? Testing environment is Xcode 16.0+ on iOS 18.0-18.5 across multiple physical device models. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Extremely slow download speed for iOS 26.2 Simulator Runtime in Xcode
I am located in Taiwan and recently updated my Mac to the latest OS and installed the newest Xcode. However, I’m experiencing extremely slow download speeds when trying to add the iOS 26.2 Simulator Runtime (approx. 8GB) via Xcode > Settings > Platforms. It is currently downloading at a rate of only 500MB per hour, which is impractical. I have checked the official downloads page but couldn't find a standalone DMG link for this specific version. My questions are: Is there a direct download link (DMG) available on the Apple Developer portal for the iOS 26.2 Simulator? If no direct link exists, are there any recommended methods to accelerate the download? (e.g., using terminal commands or changing DNS settings). Any help or direct URLs would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

HealthKit backgroundDelivery is only triggering in the background while charging
HealthKit background delivery only triggers when charging. I have set step monitoring to hourly frequency. Despite step changes, callbacks fail to arrive after 3-4 hours on battery, but trigger immediately upon connecting power. Observed for 2 days: background updates are only received when charging. The device is not in Low Power Mode, and Background App Refresh is enabled for the app in Settings.

AlarmKit - Snooze Alarm Rings Briefly Then Goes Silent When Set Time Matches
Issue Description: When the snooze alarm and a set alarm share the same time, the behavior differs between locked and unlocked screen states. The current issue occurs when the screen is unlocked and the device is on the home screen before the alarm goes off: Alarm A is set for 17:23, and the snooze button is tapped when it rings. Alarm B is set for 17:25. At 17:25, Alarm B first vibrates and then rings (no buttons are pressed at this time). A few seconds later, it vibrates a second time. After that, the alarm becomes silent. If dynamic/notification alarms are disabled, the next scheduled alarm rings normally.

"View the thread" link in email notifications could use an improvement
I watch some topics in the developer forums and when those topics are updated, I receive email notifications. That notification contains a link with the text "View the thread" which I believe is meant to take you to the corresponding latest reply in that topic. For example, I was watching this thread https://developer.apple.com/forums//thread/792453 and when the latest reply there was posted to I received the notification with the "View the thread" link which pointed to https://developer.apple.com/forums//thread/792453?answerId=872080022&replyId=872080022. However, clicking on that link redirects me to the login page. I think it would be better if that link was https://developer.apple.com/forums//thread/792453?answerId=872080022#872080022 which would have taken me to the appropriate reply without forcing a login. Is that something that can be considered?

WeatherKit fails on AppStore
Hello, After being in the AppStore for more than a year with the app working perfectly, yesterday I started seeing that WeatherKit requests failed with Failed to generate jwt token for: com.apple.weatherkit.authservice with error: Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)" Encountered an error when fetching weather data subset; location=<+41.40217108,+2.20023642> +/- 0.00m (speed -1.00 mps / course -1.00) @ 13/12/25, 12:20:35 Central European Standard Time, error=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors 2 Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)" I checked on developer.apple.com and we still have everything turned on and No changes were made from an already deployed app; and we pay 200$ a month for WeatherKit, this is unacceptable since it's not the first time WeatherKit randomly decides to stop working. More fun facts: the widget works fine...

Subscription Group Remains as Prepare for Submission
I'm ready to submit a new app with 3 subscription plans. But the status of the group remains 'Prepare for Submission.' And it won't change. All the individual subscription plans have the 'Ready to Submit' status. I have triple-checked individual plans to see if there is anything missing. No. Nothing is missing. There are no pending business contracts to review, either. I have even deleted an existing group and created a whole new subscription group. And I still end up with this prepare status. Am I the only one having this subscription group difficulty? One thing that I realize is that the status appears as 'Ready to Submit' on individual subscription plans. But their respective localization pair of display name and description get the Prepared status. The display name and the description fields are both filled for all three plans. What a nice, merry, merry Christmas. I don't know what else I can do to resolve this Prepared madness. I've been stuck for 4 hours.

TestFlight install fails: “The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist” (Internal testing)
Hi all, We can’t install our app from TestFlight. The app is visible in TestFlight for invited internal testers, but tapping Install fails immediately with: “The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.” --Setup-- Distribution: TestFlight – Internal Testing Internal group created and testers added (invite accepted) Build processing status in App Store Connect: Complete TestFlight build status shows: Ready to Submit / Prepare for Submission Minimum iOS deployment target: iOS 15.0 Version/Build: 1.0.0 (1) What we tried Confirmed tester is signed into TestFlight with the same Apple ID email that was invited Removed/added testers to the internal group and resent invites Reinstalled TestFlight, signed out/in Verified build is assigned to the internal group Set and saved Monetization → Pricing and Availability → App Availability (All Countries/Regions) Question Has anyone resolved this issue? Is there a known TestFlight/App Store Connect stuck state that causes this error even for internal testing? Any recommended steps (new build number, group reset, availability/pricing settings, etc.)? Screenshots available (TestFlight error + App Store Connect build/group view). Thanks.

How To Integrating iOS 26 Spatial Photos Feature into Third-Party iPhone App
Dear Apple Technical Support Team, Greetings! I am an iOS app developer, currently upgrading the functions of the photo app I developed Recently, I noticed the new Spatial Photos feature added in the iOS 26 system, which brings an immersive 3D photo experience to users. We hope to integrate similar capabilities into our own app to provide users with a richer photo viewing experience. Through technical research, we found that on Apple Vision devices, the similar spatial photo display effect can be achieved through the ImagePresentationComponent.Spatial3DImage interface. However, our tests show that this interface only supports visionOS and cannot be called in the iOS system. At present, iOS 26 already natively supports the Spatial Photos feature, and we hope to know how to enable third-party photo apps to also have this capability. Here, we sincerely request your team to provide relevant technical support, mainly to understand the following questions: Are there any official APIs, SDKs, or development frameworks applicable to the iOS 26 system that can support third-party apps to implement core functions such as the generation and display of spatial photos? If there are no public adaptive interfaces available at present, are there any other compliant technical solutions or alternative paths to achieve similar effects? For third-party apps to integrate the spatial photo feature, are there any relevant development documents, technical specifications, or review requirements that need to be followed? We have completed the basic function iteration of the app and have the technical capability to quickly adapt to new functions. We hope to receive guidance and support from your team to help us bring a better product experience to iOS users. Attached are the relevant information of our app and the detailed report on interface compatibility during the test for your reference. If you need any further supplementary information, please feel free to inform us. Thank you for reviewing this email in your busy schedule, and we look forward to your reply!

SwiftUI TextEditor: replaced text jumps outside current selection
I have a text editor where I replace the selected text when a button is tapped. Most of the time it works, but sometimes the new text is inserted at the end of the text instead of at the selected position. Is this a bug? @Bindable var note: Richnote @State private var selection = AttributedTextSelection() var body: some View { VStack { TextEditor(text: $note.content, selection: $selection) Button("Replace text") { let textToInsert = "A long text that makes me think lalala" note.content.replaceSelection(&selection, withCharacters: textToInsert) }

LiveKit SDK + VisionPro
I’m developing an app for visionOS and testing it on AVP (visionOS 26), on iOS 17 and 26 devices, and in simulators (visionOS 2.5). The idea of the app is random video calls. For video calls I use LiveKit SDK. At the moment, SDK the version is 2.11.0. Maybe this will help clarify where the problem is: A user presses the "Start" button, which calls matchingViewModel.startMatching(). After that, matchingViewModel.connectionState changes to .searching. Another user presses "Start" and the same thing happens. Then the API returns information for both users (myInfo, partners, roomId, myLiveKitToken). When a user receives the room information, matchingViewModel.connectionState changes to .connecting. At this point, the connection to LiveKit should happen. In the MatchingWrapperView file, the handleChangeRoomIdOrPartners method checks whether it should connect to LiveKit (when partner information and a room ID are available) or disconnect from the room (when the partner ends the call). The connectRoom method handles connecting to the LiveKit room, enables the camera, and runs emitHasConnectedToLiveKit() (matchingViewModel.connectionState changes to .connected, and information is sent to the other partner that the user has joined LiveKit). When testing visionOS device + visionOS device or iPhone or visionOS simulator, most of the time the video from the iPhone is not shown on the visionOS device. Less often, the video from the visionOS device is not shown on the iPhone or in the simulator. When testing iPhone + iPhone + visionOS simulator, everything usually works fine. Occasionally the video doesn’t appear, but this happens much less often. Maybe you know why this issue occurs much more frequently on visionOS? Here is all the code for the core functionality. If you need any additional code, please let me know. RoomModel.swift

iOS Content Filter Permission Prompt Not Appearing in TestFlight and Not Working
I added a Content Filter to my app, and when running it in Xcode (Debug/Release), I get the expected permission prompt: "Would like to filter network content (Allow / Don't Allow)". However, when I install the app via TestFlight, this prompt doesn’t appear at all, and the feature doesn’t work. Is there a special configuration required for TestFlight? I already set the minimum deployment to be 17 for the extension and the app. Thanks!

Inconsistency in returning nanoseconds in /bin/date
I am using macOS’s /bin/date command, both in Terminal and via AppleScript (do shell script). I noticed inconsistent behaviour with the %N format specifier for nanoseconds: • On some Macs, date +%s%N returns numeric nanoseconds as expected. • On other Macs, the same command returns a literal N or fails when coerced to a number. • This occurs across different macOS versions and on both Intel and Apple Silicon machines. My understanding is that macOS ships BSD date, which does not officially document %N. I am trying to determine: 1. Is %N in /bin/date officially supported on macOS, and if so, on which versions? 2. If %N is not supported, what is Apple’s recommended, portable method for obtaining sub-second or millisecond timestamps in shell scripts or AppleScript across all macOS versions?
