Conflict with Business ID and Personal account for Testflight
I’m hitting a persistent conflict between my Business (Managed) Apple ID and my personal Apple ID when trying to use TestFlight. My Business ID is correctly tied to App Store Connect, but the device always forces TestFlight to associate with my personal Apple ID. When I try to “Review” the Business ID in the App Store, I get the endless loop: “This Apple ID has not been used in the iTunes Store.” The review flow never completes. What I’ve already confirmed: Business/Managed Apple IDs cannot be activated for the App Store -Signing out of Media & Purchases doesn’t fix it -Tried on multiple devices - sign out - same behaviour -TestFlight still forces a personal Apple ID login even when everything else is configured correctly This looks like a reproducible conflict introduced by recent Apple updates, and it’s affecting Managed/Business Apple IDs across the board. Developer Support hasn’t provided a single actionable response despite multiple tickets which is unacceptable for a paid service. Has anyone found a reliable workaround solution for this problem ? THANK YOU in advance !!

Hybrid Wired-to-Wireless Audio Mode Using AirPods Charging Case
Many Apple users own both Bluetooth earphones (AirPods) and traditional wired earphones. While Bluetooth audio provides freedom of movement, some users still prefer wired earphones for comfort, sound profile, or personal preference. However, plugging wired earphones directly into an iPhone can feel restrictive and inconvenient during daily use. This proposal suggests a hybrid audio approach where wired earphones can be connected to a Bluetooth-enabled AirPods charging case (or a similar Apple-designed module), allowing users to enjoy wired earphones without a physical connection to the iPhone. #Problem Statement *Wired earphones offer consistent audio quality and zero latency *Bluetooth earphones provide freedom from cables *Users must currently choose one or the other *Plugging wired earphones into an iPhone limits movement and can feel intrusive in daily scenarios (walking, commuting, working) There is no native Apple solution that allows wired earphones to function wirelessly while maintaining Apple’s audio experience standards. #Proposed Solution Introduce a Wired-to-Wireless Audio Mode through the AirPods charging case or a dedicated Apple Bluetooth audio bridge. How it works: User plugs wired earphones into the AirPods case (or a future AirPods accessory port) The case acts as a Bluetooth audio transmitter Audio is streamed wirelessly from iPhone to the case The case outputs audio to the wired earphones #User experiences: No cable connected to the iPhone Familiar wired earphone sound Freedom of movement similar to Bluetooth earbuds User Experience (UX Flow) Plug wired earphones into the AirPods case iPhone automatically detects: “Wired Earphones via AirPods Case” Seamless pairing using existing AirPods framework Audio controls, volume, and switching handled through iOS No additional apps required #Key Benefits Combines wired sound reliability with wireless convenience Reduces physical cable disturbance during use Extends usefulness of existing wired earphones Minimal learning curve for users Fits naturally into Apple’s ecosystem and design philosophy #Privacy & Performance Considerations On-device audio processing only No cloud involvement Low-latency audio using Apple’s proprietary Bluetooth codecs Power-efficient usage leveraging AirPods case battery #Target Users Users who prefer wired earphones but want wireless freedom Commuters and walkers Developers and professionals who multitask Users sensitive to Bluetooth earbud fit or comfort #Ecosystem Fit Builds on existing AirPods pairing and audio stack Aligns with Apple’s focus on seamless UX Could be implemented via: New AirPods hardware Firmware update + accessory Dedicated Apple audio bridge

Strange behavior for automounted directory.
I. am working on an app that uses automounted files using nfsv4 where the server has zfs filesystems. As a test I've created a very simple example and the directory in question seems to automount correctly, but when I try to access it, I get strange behavior. The directory is mounted on is /System/Volumes/Data/mnt/subdir and I can change to that directory just fine. However I get the following: 63 rrsum@Anywhere:subdata% pwd /System/Volumes/Data/mnt/subdata 64 rrsum@Anywhere:subdata% ls -la total 3 drwxr-xr-x 3 nobody nobody 4 Jan 10 13:03 . dr-xr-xr-x 3 root wheel 2 Jan 8 17:27 .. drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody nobody 3 Jan 9 11:20 dir -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 12 Jan 10 13:09 file.txt 65 rrsum@Anywhere:subdata% cd dir cd: string not in pwd: ls The directory appears in the 'ls -la' properly, but I cannot cd to it.

How to print WKWebView in Sequoia?
I want to print the content of a WKWebView. I've done some searching, and many people have struggled with this over the years. Some claimed success, but their solutions don't work for me. One person created images for each pages and printed that, but then if you were to print to PDF, you'd get a PDF containing images rather than text. If I just call the printView(_:)) method of the view, I get blank pages. With the following more elaborate code, I get a partial printout, 11 out of what should be about 13 pages. let info = NSPrintInfo.shared info.topMargin = 72.0; info.bottomMargin = 72.0; info.leftMargin = 72.0; info.rightMargin = 72.0; info.isVerticallyCentered = false; info.isHorizontallyCentered = false; info.horizontalPagination = .fit; info.verticalPagination = .automatic; let printOp = webView!.printOperation( with: info ) printOp.canSpawnSeparateThread = true printOp.view?.frame = NSMakeRect( 0, 0, info.paperSize.width, info.paperSize.height ) printOp.runModal(for: webView.window!, delegate: self, didRun: nil, contextInfo: nil ) When I run the above under the debugger, I see console messages saying CGContextClipToRect: invalid context 0x0. Once the print dialog appears, if I touch (but not change) the selected printer, then the page count changes to the correct value.

WebSocket connection instantly closes (FIN) on iPadOS 26 in PWA (Local HTTP/WS)
I am maintaining a PWA that utilizes WebSockets. In this app, after the web page is loaded from the server, JavaScript establishes a WebSocket connection. Because the app connects to a completely local server on a managed local network, we use http:// and ws:// (non-secure). The Issue: The app worked perfectly from older iOS versions up to iPadOS 18. However, during testing on iPadOS 26, we encountered an issue where the WebSocket connects successfully but is disconnected by the iPad approximately one second later. According to our packet captures, the iPad is sending a FIN packet to initiate the teardown. Additional Context: What makes this particularly confusing is that we have another server hosting the exact same PWA where the WebSocket connection stays stable even on iPadOS 26. This suggests it might not be a universal OS bug, but perhaps related to specific network conditions or a new security policy. Has anyone experienced similar behavior on iPadOS 26? Could this be a bug, or is there a new security restriction regarding non-secure WebSocket (ws://) connections in local networks? Are there any known changes in WebKit/Safari for iPadOS 26 that might cause the OS to send a FIN packet immediately after a handshake? I would appreciate any insights or suggestions on what might be causing this.

App rejected for “containing copyrighted video game files” — how to make an emulator app compliant?
Hi everyone, We’re looking for advice regarding an App Store review rejection and would really appreciate insights from developers with similar experience. Our app is a retro game emulator platform. It provides emulator functionality only (e.g. NES / GB / GBA emulation) and does NOT include, bundle, or download any game ROMs. Key points about our app design: ❌ No ROMs are bundled or distributed ❌ No in-app ROM downloads ✅ Users can only import their own ROM files that they legally own (e.g. personal backups) ✅ No copyrighted game names, box art, screenshots, or branding are used ✅ The app is positioned as a general-purpose emulator tool, similar to a media player that plays user-provided files However, during review we received the following rejection: The app appears to contain copyrighted video game files. Apps and their content should not infringe upon the rights of another party… We’re confused about what might have triggered this decision and would appreciate guidance on: On what basis Apple may conclude that the app “contains” copyrighted game files? Could this be related to: App screenshots or preview videos? Default demo flows or UI text? The emulator functionality itself? What changes are typically required to pass review, such as: Adding stronger legal disclaimers Requiring user confirmation that imported ROMs are legally owned Removing any potentially misleading UI wording Explicitly clarifying ROM ownership responsibility We’ve noticed that similar emulator apps already exist on the App Store, so we’re trying to understand: Whether there is a clear compliance path What modifications have worked for other developers in similar cases Thanks a lot in advance for any advice or shared experience 🙏 Happy to provide more details if needed.

In App Purchase Unlock Premium allowed?
We are planning to monetize our app. Users should have the option to subscribe to a premium plan. Currently, our app is a companion app, meaning it is an extension of a physical product. With the new update, the app can also be used without the physical product. This functionality will be governed by the subscription. Specifically, users will be able to record a cycling tour using only the app. We also sell a bicycle light (a physical product). Can we state that users who own the bicycle light and pair it with the app can use the app for free, i.e. without a subscription, and still access the premium feature for recording an activity? We are unsure how Apple Guideline 3.1.4 applies in this case.

Requesting for response to appeal submitted
On January 1, 2026, we received a notice regarding the potential removal of our app with a 30-day resolution deadline. We treated this matter with immediate urgency and submitted an appeal on the same day. However, two weeks have passed without any feedback or clarification. As we have not yet received specific details regarding the violation, we are unable to identify the exact cause or take the necessary corrective actions. With only two weeks remaining in the compliance window, it is critical for us to understand the issue promptly to resolve it before the deadline. Could you please provide an update on the status of our appeal? We are fully committed to complying with App Store policies. If there are any additional materials required or proactive steps we should take while waiting, please let us know.

Background script in the form of a service worker cannot be debugged
If the extension uses manifest v3 and a background script in the form of a service worker, then in Safari it is not possible to open the background script debugging window. If I expand the Developer menu in Safari, there is nothing under Web Extension Background Data (or disappear after click), which is an error. In other browsers (Edge, Chrome, Opera, Firefox) this works correctly. If I switch the background script back to non-persistent script mode, everything works fine and from the Developer menu and the Web Extension Background Data submenu I am able to open the background script debugging window for the extension. Am I doing something wrong?

Issue with SwiftPM and multiple targets
Hi! I have a bigger Xcode project that has multiple targets: the main app (MainApp) helper command line tool (HelperTool) The project also lists multiple package dependencies via SwiftPM and these dependencies have dependencies between themselves. One of such packages produces a dynamic library MyFramework which is a dependency for both the main app and the HelperTool which has it listed under Build Phases > Dependencies as well as under Link with Frameworks. This builds just fine, but the issue somes when I want to add another target called AdditionalHelperTool which it has pretty much the same dependencies as HelperTool. When I add this second target, I start running into issues like the following: Multiple commands produce '[...]/Build/Products/Debug/Frameworks/MyFramework.framework/Versions/A' Target 'HelperTool' (project 'MyApp') has copy command from '[...]/Build/Products/Debug/PackageFrameworks/MyFramework.framework' to '[...]/Build/Products/Debug/Frameworks/MyFramework.framework' Target 'AdditionalHelperTool' (project 'MyApp') has copy command from '[...]/Build/Products/Debug/PackageFrameworks/MyFramework.framework' to '[...]/Build/Products/Debug/Frameworks/MyFramework.framework'` It seems that Xcode runs the build of both targets separately and it sees a conflict given that both targets have same dependencies that it's trying to built separately. Has anyone encountered something similar? Can anyone suggest a solution for this?

Signing succeeds but validate fails with "Missing code-signing certificate"
We have a command line script that runs xcodebuild to make an archive, then runs xcodebuild again to export the archive to make an ipa, and then runs "altool --validate-app" to check that everything will be fine for a subsequent upload to the app store. This has been working fine for a few years but recently stopped working and we cannot figure out why. The validation fails with this error: ERROR: [altool.105912F20] Validation failed (409) Invalid Provisioning Profile. The provisioning profile included in the com. bundle [Payload/.app] is invalid. [Missing code-signing certificate]. A distribution provisioning profile should be used when uploading apps to App Store Connect. (ID: ) The project is configured with 'Automatically manage signing' unchecked, and the profile was created on developer.apple.com/account/resources/profiles and the matching profile magically appears in the "Provisioning Profile" drop down in Xcode. The profile was created with two certificates checked, but examining the embedded.mobileprovision profile that ends up in the compiled ipa payload it appears to contain 19 certificates (probably all of them for this org?). Is there a way to find out which certificate is missing exactly? And once identified is it a case of adding it to the profile used during compilation to fix this? Ancillary question: why does the embedded.mobileprovision file contain so many certificates, and how does xcodebuild decide which ones it includes there?

certificates expired, created new certificates and missing Mac App Distribution
Hi, My certificates expired and I created new ones. But now Xcode shows me in Apple Accounts status of Mac App Distribution that the Missing Private... Howto fix the missing private key? I need to sign a .pkg for upload with Transporter. Further I generated a CSR for App License Delivery ALD certificates. https://developer.apple.com/help/account/certificates/create-a-certificate-signing-request/ And with App Store Connected I created new certificates. In Xcode I had to remove the Apple Account and add it again, after altering currency. This procedure was described somewhere because Xcode was not able to connect my account. This is fixed now.

TestFlight Call To Action With Essential Download
Hello, I was just installing an app from TestFlight that has an Essential Asset Pack that's a few GBs in size. It appears the Call To Action inside of TestFlight doesn't take into consideration the Background Asset download status before it changes from Installing to Open. I can't test if this is also the case for apps on the App Store, but I'd expect that it is.

Organization enrollment blocked at identity/address step (“Contact Us to Continue”) after prior decline and corrected notary document
Current issue (happening now) I get blocked immediately after entering my identity details and address. Apple Developer app (iPhone) I start the enrollment flow. After identity verification, I enter my address (Street Address, City/Town, State/Province, Postal/Zip, Phone). As soon as I tap Continue, I get: Contact Us to Continue There may be an issue with your account that needs to be resolved before you can continue. Please contact support. I cannot proceed past this point. Web enrollment (developer.apple.com) When I try on the web, I get: Your enrollment could not be completed. Your enrollment in the Apple Developer Program could not be completed at this time. This happens right after providing identity + address (before I can proceed further). Previous timeline (related background) ~3 months ago I incorporated my company in Türkiye (Ltd. Şti.) and tried to enroll as an organization. What happened First attempt on the web: enrollment was approved, but I couldn’t complete payment. Support told me to reset and try via the Developer app. Developer app enrollment then requested identity + “association with the enrolling entity” and company documents: Government-issued photo ID Employment/association verification Commercial registry extract (signed/stamped) Articles of association Tax office + tax number document Signatory circular I uploaded the requested documents. Apple replied that Turkish documents were unsupported and asked for “solicitor-certified English translations.” I uploaded English translations that were sworn-translator stamped. Why the translations were not notarized In Türkiye, due to the current economic situation, notarizing multiple translated corporate documents can cost hundreds of USD. Because of that, I initially provided sworn-translator certified (stamped) English translations rather than notarized translations. The translation office I worked with told me they regularly prepare company document translations for Apple Developer Program enrollments and that translator-certified translations are usually sufficient. My plan was to get everything notarized immediately if Apple explicitly requested notarization again or clarified that notarization was mandatory. About a week later, I received: Your enrollment request for your company has been declined. I followed up multiple times asking what exact requirement was not met (translation certification type, identity/association verification, etc.). Phone support said the decision was final and they could not disclose the reason. Additional detail discovered after the decline (document error fixed) After the decline, I reviewed all documents line-by-line and found a serious issue in my signatory circular: My company was incorporated on 27.08.2025. The signatory circular incorrectly stated that my authority started on 27.08.2023 (two years earlier). This was a notary/document preparation error. I immediately returned to the notary and had it corrected. They acknowledged the mistake, and I can obtain an official written statement confirming the correction if needed. However, Apple has not provided a channel to submit corrected documents, and support is not giving a path forward. What I’m asking the community Has anyone seen the “Contact Us to Continue” message triggered at the identity/address step and successfully fixed it? If yes, what specifically solved it? Is this typically an Apple Account eligibility/restriction flag, or can it be caused by address/region verification format issues? After an organization enrollment is declined, is there a known path to re-apply successfully (e.g., notarized translations vs translator-stamped, or having a different authorized representative apply as the Account Holder)? If documents were corrected after the decline (like the notary error above), is there any supported way to resubmit without starting from zero? Any concrete guidance would help. Thank you.

Delay in notifications iPhone 16 Pro iOS 18.3
Hi, I’m having issues with push notifications on my phone across multiple apps. When someone sends me a message, I only receive the notification 10 to 15 minutes later. For example, on WhatsApp, people say that my chat only shows one checkmark when they send me a message. I don’t know what else to do. I’ve already contacted Apple Support, visited an Apple-affiliated physical store, and followed all the recommended procedures. This is my first time using an iPhone—I bought it for professional use, but it’s practically useless if I don’t receive notifications instantly. They even told me that if I send it in for warranty service, there’s a 90% chance they won’t detect the issue, and the iPhone will come back with the same problem.

PhotoKit Background Upload Extension not working on iOS 26.2 iPhone 17 Simulator
Hi, I’m trying to implement the new PhotoKit PHBackgroundResourceUploadExtension. I created the extension, enabled full photo library access in the host app, and registered the extension point using the string: com.apple.photos.background-upload. However, when I attempted to enable the extension with: try library.setUploadJobExtensionEnabled(true) I received the following error: Error Domain=PHPhotosErrorDomain Code=-1 "(null)" This happens when running the app on Xcode 26.1 and 26.2 Beta, using the iPhone 17 Pro Max simulator (iOS 26.1 and 26.2). My question is: Is this extension supported on the simulator? I’m asking because at the moment it’s difficult for me to test this on a physical device. Also, What's the meaning of the error? Thanks.
