I develop a tab manager extension: https://apps.apple.com/ua/app/tab-finder-for-safari/id6741719894
It's written purely in Swift. All Safari interactions are done solely inside a SFSafariExtensionHandler .
But now i'm considering adding some features from Google Chrome's Extension API like window switching.
Is it possible to add a background.js worker to my existing Safari App Extension to have access to the beginRequest method override inside SFSafariExtensionHandler?
Without converting my extension from Safari App Extension to Safari Web Extenion?

I want to migrate from a Safari App Extension to a Safari Web Extension, but don't know how to get rid of the message, telling users that my extension can access their passwords. Here is a message which I see:
I was thinking that this might be because all Safari Web Extension get this type of access, but I have a Safari Web Extension which does not require such level of access:

We have crash reports as shown below that we haven't yet been able to repro and could use some help deubgging.
My guess is that the app is giving a label or text view an attributed string with an invalid attribute range, but attributed strings are used in many places throughout the app, and I don't know an efficient way to track this down.
I'm posting the stack trace here in hopes that someone more familiar with the internals of the system frameworks mentioned will be able to provide a clue to help narrow where I should look.

Hello everyone.
I use Translation Framework in my application. During development everything was fine, Translation framework worked well, but after two or three days of using the production version (that was published in AppStore and available for others also!) - my application stopped working. Translation framework gives errors:
Error sending 1 paragraphs Error Domain=TranslationErrorDomain Code=16 "Translation failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Translation failed, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Offline models not available for language pair}
Failed to translate input 0; returning error: Error Domain=TranslationErrorDomain Code=16 "Translation failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Translation failed, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Offline models not available for language pair}
Received unbridged NSError to API, converting to .internalError: Error Domain=TranslationErrorDomain Code=16 "Translation failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Translation failed, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Offline models not available for language pair}
Once again - it worked when I developed it, it was released on the AppStore, and suddenly it stopped working!
Hi, I uploaded my app to TestFlight and released but mistakenly enabled support for iPads. However, the app does not support iPads, and whenever I submit it for approval, the App Store rejects it due to design issues. When I disable iPad support and re-upload it to TestFlight, I get an error stating that it does not support the previously uploaded platforms.
Can anyone please guide me how can i disable it any way around?

Hello,
I created an app using the latest version of Xcode (16.2), and I'm having a problem testing this app on my iPhones.
I created this app just like all the others I've made for my clients, including one on (03/24/25), but when I went to upload another
App to App Store Connect on (03/26/25) I couldn't test it on my phone.
Points to consider:
The app runs perfectly on the Emulator.
All my terms and agreements with Apple are up to date.
I tried to download the apps through Testflight on 2 different devices, iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 15.8.1) and iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 18.3.2), and I was unsuccessful in neither attempt.
I can send my app to the internal testers, but when I click download, the following message appears:
Could not install [APP NAME].
The requested App is not available or doesn't exist.
I imagine this problem is with Apple itself, I have already contacted support, but I need to resolve this urgently for my customers.
Has anyone experienced this and resolved it?
Why there is a working animation with ScrollView + ForEach of items removal, but there is none with List?
ScrollView + ForEach:
struct ContentView: View {
@State var items: [String] = Array(1...5).map(\.description)
var body: some View {
ScrollView(.vertical) {
ForEach(items, id: \.self) { item in
Text(String(item))
.frame(maxWidth: .infinity, minHeight: 50)
.background(.gray)
.onTapGesture {
withAnimation(.linear(duration: 0.1)) {
items = items.filter { $0 != item }
}
}
}
}
}
}
List:
struct ContentView: View {
@State var items: [String] = Array(1...5).map(\.description)
var body: some View {
List(items, id: \.self) { item in
Text(String(item))
.frame(maxWidth: .infinity, minHeight: 50)
.background(.gray)
.onTapGesture {
withAnimation(.linear(duration: 0.1)) {
items = items.filter { $0 != item }
}
}
}
}
}```
Hello, I'm currently experiencing issues with IAP subscription setup.
The following error appears:
"Billing Problem, There was a problem with your subscription renewal. To resolve, turn on Allow Purchases & Renewals, or leave off to test failed in-app purchase attempts and subscription renewals."
I'm testing with a sandbox account, and automatic subscription renewal is turned on in the sandbox settings.
A notification screen appears at the OS level, and consequently, a DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW error occurs on our payment server.
I cannot determine the cause at all, so I would appreciate your assistance in checking this issue.
Hi there,
When I deploy my app to the iPhone for testing, I get the following error:
Failed to verify code signature of /var/installd/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installd.staging/temp.4gpZFc/extracted/c_mll.app : 0xe8008018 (The identity used to sign the
Please ensure that the certificates used to sign your app have not expired. If this issue persists, please attach an IPA of your app when sending a report to Apple.
executable is no longer valid.)
My account was mistakenly deactivated by Apple last month. After appealing, Apple restored it at the end of last month. Currently, my Apple Developer account seems to be working fine.
Today, I recreated the developer certificate and identifier, added the account in XCode, everything seemed fine, and I clicked the XCode button (Start the active scheme). The build was successful, but I got the error:
Failed to verify code signature of /var/installd/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installd.staging/temp.4gpZFc/extracted/c_mll.app : 0xe8008018 (The identity used to sign the executable is no longer valid.)
Both my certificate and identifier were created just a few hours ago and show no issues.
Before my account was deactivated, everything was working fine.
I used a regular non-Apple developer account in XCode and performed the same steps, and it worked fine.
I looked at relevant posts on the forum and tried the suggestions, but none of them solved my problem.
We put the apple-app-site-association file at https://ourdomain.com.tr/.well-known/apple-app-site-association.
When we send a request to url, we get 200 response code every time and we can see the file. But sometimes when we try to access https://app-site-association.cdn-apple.com/a/v1/ourdomain.com.tr url with browser or CMD tool, we are facing with 404 response code.
There isn't any ip adress filter in our systems and we tried using vpn for sending same request from different locations(america and europe) but nothing changed.
In addition, can anyone provide the ip list of apple cdn servers to check the F5 Load balancer WAF logs?

My team has developed an app with a Matter commissioner feature (for own ecosystem) using the Matter framework on the MatterSupport extension.
Recently, we've noticed that commissioning Matter devices with the MatterSupport extension has become very unstable. Occasionally, the HomeUIService stops the flow after commissioning to the first fabric successfully, displaying the error: "Failed to perform Matter device setup: Error Domain=HMErrorDomain Code=2." (normally, it should send open commissioning window to the device and then add the device to the 2nd fabric). The issue is never seen before until recently few weeks and there is no code changes in the app. We are suspected that there is some data that fail to download from the icloud or apple account that cause this problem.
For evaluation, we tried removing the HomeSupport extension and run the Matter framework directly in developer mode, this issue disappears, and commissioning works without any problems.

We are currently pulling data via the API to look various metrics, including reviews and ratings. However, I noticed the ratings only come in with associated reviews - it doesn't appear there is public access to the API for pulling all historic ratings (without associated reviews).
Is this correct? Does anyone know a workaround or way to access the ratings data via API or other method?

Hello Developer Community,
I'm encountering a persistent issue with app rejections related to iPad compatibility, even after explicitly removing iPad as a supported device family in my Xcode project for the latest submission (Version 1.0.1, Build 11).
The Apple Review team continues to test on iPad devices (specifically an iPad Air 5th generation running iPadOS 18.4.1) and rejects the build under Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness, citing a login issue with demo credentials that leaves the app stuck on the login page.
In my previous submission and subsequent resubmission, I clearly targeted only iPhone in the Xcode project settings (Target -> General -> Deployment Info -> Devices: iPhone). I also confirmed that the "Targeted Device Families" setting reflects only iPhone.
Despite these changes, the review team's feedback indicates they are still evaluating the app on an iPad and encountering the same bug. Their response to my clarification about removing iPad support was:
"Regarding 2.1, as we mentioned in our previous correspondence, users expect apps they download to function on all the devices where they are available. Since your app may be downloaded onto iPad devices, it is important that it also function as expected for iPad users."
This response is confusing, as my intention with the latest build was to explicitly limit availability to iPhones due to unresolved issues on iPads.
**
My Questions are: **
1: Is there any other setting or configuration in Xcode beyond "Targeted Device Families" that I might be missing to ensure the app is only intended for and tested on iPhones for this specific build?
2: Has anyone else experienced a similar situation where the App Review team seems to be testing on devices explicitly excluded in the build settings? If so, how did you resolve it?
3: What are the potential reasons why the app might still be installable or visible on iPads in the App Store despite the Xcode configuration?

Is it possible to use the Matter.xcframework without the MatterSupport extension for onboarding a Matter device to our own ecosystem(own OTBR and matter controller) for an official App Store release?
Currently, we can achieve this in developer mode by adding the Bluetooth Central Matter Client Developer mode profile (as outlined here https://github.com/project-chip/connectedhomeip/blob/master/docs/guides/darwin.md). For an official release, what entitlements or capabilities do we need to request approval from Apple to replace the Bluetooth Central Matter Client Developer mode profile?
Thank you for your assistance.
I'm trying to understand the behavior I'm seeing here. In the following example, I have a custom @Observable class that adopts RandomAccessCollection and am attempting to populate a List with it.
If I use an inner collection property of the instance (even computed as this shows), the top view identifies additions to the list.
However, if I just use the list as a collection in its own right, it detects when a change is made, but not that the change increased the length of the list. If you add text that has capital letters you'll see them get sorted correctly, but the lower list retains its prior count. The choice of a List initializer with the model versus an inner ForEach doesn't change the outcome, btw.
If I cast that type as an Array(), effectively copying its contents, it works fine which leads me to believe there is some additional Array protocol conformance that I'm missing, but that would be unfortunate since I'm not sure how I would have known that. Any ideas what's going on here? The new type can be used with for-in scenarios fine and compiles great with List/ForEach, but has this issue. I'd like the type to not require extra nonsense to be used like an array here.

I reported Korean IME bug to QT Bug report. Please refer to below link.
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-136128?jql=text%20~%20korean%20ORDER%20BY%20created%20DESC
But, QT reponsed me like follwing.
Thank you for reporting. However, this issue seems like a known issue with apple's Korean IME. There are many threads in Korean community about the same problem with Non-Qt apps. If this issue is a really Qt issue, feel free to open it again.
Is there any workaround to fix this IME bug ?
Thanks,
Ted

We are currently working on a SCEP server implementation that operates in FIPS-approved mode. In this mode, RSA PKCS#1 v1.5 encryption is disallowed due to compliance requirements, and only FIPS-approved padding schemes such as RSA-OAEP are permitted.
However, we have observed that the SCEP client functionality on Apple devices currently does not support RSA-OAEP for CMS EnvelopedData decryption. This creates a challenge for us in ensuring FIPS compliance while maintaining compatibility with Apple devices during certificate enrollment through SCEP.
We would appreciate your guidance on the following:
Are there any alternative FIPS-approved encryption algorithms or configurations supported by Apple devices for SCEP CMS EnvelopedData decryption?
Is there any plan or timeline for future support of RSA-OAEP on Apple platforms for this use case?

Hello,
I'm sure I've probably missed a checkbox somewhere.. I have a mulitiplatform app, when building from Xcode, and not using the testing config, both iOS and macOS show the correct App Store currency..
When I distribute a build through TestFlight, my Mac version shows a
different country/currency price (the US one). I can't find anywhere to change this. My Mac is signed into the same sandbox account as my iOS device.
Can anyone help?
